Anyone reading the Buzix report should note that was Buzix under different owners. The previous Buzix owner failed to manage his servers and continually crashed. It was typically out of service two to three times a week for as long as 8 hours. I had to move my online forms to Network Solutions to manage my site again. However, Network Solutions fell victim to their own outsourcing of mail servers and their own servers rejected forwarding of online form data to a black hole. Network Solutions took three weeks to resolve the issue. In the end they had to terminate outsourcing of mail servers and brought it all back in-house. Just goes to show no web server host is perfect. A NetSol employee and I worked to identify the source of NetSol's issue until it was found by him two and one half weeks after their email forwarding function failed... Can you imagine the volume of commercial web site order form forwarding that was lost over a 3wk period of time? For 3wks every ecommerce MS FrontPage authored web site on NetSol was out of service. By the way, their mail server forwarding failed Wed. before Thanksgiving! From Thanksgiving until the week before Christmas no web order form processing was forwarded to the companies using NetSol for hosting. That's an itch that no one could scratch at NetSol...except Matthew who worked with me in test mode to resolve the issue. Matthew used my web site to conduct his investigation/tests. He needed a failed site formatted exactly like mine to fix the problem at Netsol Matthew did this after work every day from his residence late at night until teh problem was identified and fixxed...without extra pay. After NetSol's issue I realized the importance of using multiple servers for my site and continued to subscribe to Buzix after the new owner showed that she and her husband were trying to set things right. I had been with Buzix's original owner for 10 years when he let it go South. I'd had to wait as long as a week to see it back in operation after a crash...over and over. The two owners of Buzix are very calm, patient and as far as I am concerned very honest in the way they run their business. The best anyone can do with hosting services is run it like Buzix is run. Things are not perfect folks, its like hurding cats so to speak. Servers don't necessarily show signs of issues until they fail...in spite of your diagnostic cycles. To fix is to replace a server when it proves problematic. You see...the reason I found this web site today was immediately after an out of service issue at Buzix... ;^) I was curious if anyone posted a complaint. After all, its been a good 2 yrs since the last out of service issue at Buzix :^) Maybe been as long as 3 yrs! Its been so long that I had not given it a second thought until BANG...at 10:45 CDST 03/12/09. I picked up the phone, and called customer service and was greeted by a friendly young man who I did not introduce myself to but asked to speak to Barbara whom he said he could not connect me to. I explained I had multiple sites on his servers and I wanted to know if he was in-fact having server issues..."Yes sir, that we are". I thanked him for good service and let him continue trying to fix what ever it was causing the out of service. After an hour and a half to two hours...my web sites were back online. Thought a good report was deserved for the current state of stability, honestly, and good service I enjoy from Buzix in Florida. Tell Barbara ScaleAero sent you if you want good hosting service :^) ScaleAero.com that is.
