I was require to work with pure toluene every workday for three years. The building where I used the toluene was not adequately ventilated, so over the three year period, I inhaled quite a bit of the vapors.

Years later, I was terminated by the same employer at a time when I was under a doctor's care for chronic rectal bleeding and psychological problems that I attributed to stress.

I filed a claim for Worker's Compensation for stress and the bleeding problem. Last year (2001), I was diagnosed as having a brain injury induced by exposure to a neurotoxin. The diagnosis was based on a scan of my brain, and my neurological and psychological problems.

State Lands had stopped using toluene in 1989, and had built a modern lab the same year. I never was informed of the fact that toluene had been found to be a neurotoxin. The only MSDS sheets I had seen listed it as a carcinogen. Too bad I was unaware of toluene's true toxicity at the time I was fired.

My Worker's Comp. case remains unresolved.

Psychologist from Hell

Dr. Rosemarie Bowler of El Cerrito, CA wrote a medical evaluation of my condition without having examined me. In the report, she said that I should be institutionalized. Why? I am not violent, I have never been accused of a crime, and I'm not a threat or an embarrassment to anybody except for those who are depriving me of due process. And even to them, the only threat I represent is the possibility that their misdeeds will become public knowledge.

I have neurological damage from exposure to toluene. My memory and my concentration are impaired. So, I have a disability, and this psychologist wants me put away. For having a disability? Thats the same way that Hitler dealt with the disabled.

Now, as the statute of limitations approaches, I was seeking advice from a different attorney. In the process of getting documents for him, I learned that Doctor Bowler has my file, and is out of the country! She was apparently given my file by attorney, and based upon the reports of other Hired Guns (doctors working in cahoots with the State), she wrote her assessment of my condition. I guess my Workers Comp. lawyer never dreamed that I might seek additional counsel, and therefore have need of my records.

Thats what I call Foul Play.

State Lands...The Public Trust, my ass

Imagine a governmental entity that is supposed to monitor offshore oil and gas leases for compliance to regulations...Much of our focus was on safety and environmental protection. Picture the same agency putting one of their own in harms way, then negligently watching the employee's health deteriorate. The Public Trust is about to become The Public Bust.

I am not motivated by greed, or revenge. I am motivated by my determination to set the record straight, and to obtain reimbursement for the price I have paid as a result of their negligence. Corruption in government cannot be allowed to go on unchecked.

Interestingly, the State Lands Commission itself has 3 members, and the Chairperson is the Lt. Gov. Guess who was Lt. Gov. when I worked for the agency? Here's a clue..He is running for a second term as Governor now. I'm not saying he had a hand in my demise, but I will say that a successful lawsuit for toxic exposure would be bad publicity for State Lands and other officials. It makes me wonder...
