I signed with Calliope and booked a job with Verizon, NBC's America's Got Talent, Seno Medical and HEB and all of those jobs have paid Calliope talent some even as far back as March! (I even have Timo recorded since he left a voicemail stating that Calliope has a 30 day pay out...well they have surpassed that and they told me they have two of the checks). I have spoken to all parties and have it IN WRITING that they have paid Calliope on my behalf, however Calliope is refusing to pay me any of my checks! They kept telling me they only have 2 checks but they could not pay me due to a letter to garnish my wages whichi is an out right LIE. They did recieve a letter for me from someone wanting me to appear for an asset hearing (which they refused to provide me with that document hoping I would fail to appear). Thank God the other party text me because they kept giving her the run-arounds! Timo called my Louisiana agent asking her "if she has spoken to me because they have been calling me and trying to pay me but I would not answer my phone"...then in the same conversation told her "that they could not pay me becaus they had a court order to garnish my wages". They REFUSE to provide my attorney with my contract, or the alledged garnishment of wages..."told him they could not find it". Perhaps because they are liars and don't have it. Kristi Martin is hiding behind her flunky Timo the idiot who also advised me "Kimm, I haven't even been paid". I have rude texts and voicemails from this agency. They practically harrass you to go to workshops and God forbid you not be available for an audition they want you to go on they will threaten you and tell you...that you WILL go! I have that recorded as well! No model or actor should ever have to deal with such fraudelent people. I am not an anomoly this is their MO. I know 5 other people with the agency whom have not been paid. I have been trying to get paid since May 9, 2013. I have depleted my savings and as a result of them refusing to pay me I'm losing eveything I own to include my home because of this crime! They do not care that they have have my money because there is no organization that can help me since Kristi lobbyed to get that shut down, now I have no recourse but to sue them! This agency should be shut down! They are not ethical in their business dealings.

It is no shocker that Kristi Martin helped make this happen as SHE was the biggest offender clearly some of those fines are shown with the above link.
A major problem: the Texas licensing requirement for talent agencies was revoked in 2010, effective FY2011:(Kristy Martin helped write that, after Calliope had been fined:http://www.calliopetalent.com/legal.html).That means that there is no longer the alternative of complaining to a commission, but rather a suit would have to be filed. Attorney’s fees are available (http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/txstatutes/OC/15/2501/E/2501.203) but only in the case of proof of a prohibited practice (http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/txstatutes/OC/15/2501/C/2501.101). Non-payment is a separate tort, rather than a violation of the statute.

I wanted to provide an update! I have received a partial payment from Calliope Talent. After dealing with them for 3 and a half months with my attorney, I have decided not to fight these people any longer. I wrote the last statement because I had to do that in order to get paid, but they still refused to pay me. I kept having to jump through their hoops but got tired of being in their circus! It was not until I threatened to contact the CEO's of the above mentioned companies to let them know I have not been paid and my refusal to talk to them, that they decided to pay me SOMETHING! They still owe me money, but they have taken enough out of my quality of life...so I digress and I plan to move on with my life without full payment!
If you are reading this and considering this agency, run as fast as you can! I assure you there are MANY awesome agencies out there that act ethically, and I HIGHLY suggest you find them. Go to http://www.sagaftra.org/agency-relations/sag-franchised-agents and find an agency that will abide by the rules and not take advantage of you! I have been in the business for over 15 years and I have NEVER had to fight with my talent agency to get paid for work I performed! And it's pretty gross that they charge ALL talent 15% commission and also charge the client 20% commission/booking fees. They are ONLY supposed to get what the union allows but they also act as a management company and surely this is how they are able to get away with that, because managers can charge any amount for commission, but you do not need a manager unless you have a career to manage...i.e you are Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt, not a newbie to the industry!!!!!! I didn't mind paying the 15% because I thought they were this bad-a*s agency that had GREAT connections and would in fact help manage my career, but intead they took advangtage of me and failed to pay me for work I did!
Please look at these comments regarding Calliope...I am not making this up...let the character of this agency speak for itself!

Calliope held the funds because of its misunderstanding concerning a judgment against me, but now understands that although there is a judgment against me, no garnishment order has been issued, so the original complaint should be removed. I have requested 3 times for this to be removed! But no one from RipOff report will respond or remove this report! I have included the documents regarding the judgement and request for assets and the handwritten agreement.Please be advised that I am unaware of how much involvement Kristi had with Texas Licensing, I simply cut and paste that info. without taking out notes stated by another party. Also my use of the word fraud is based off www.dictionary.com (breach of confidene).fraud
