Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On February 14, i recieved a letter from Calvary - Sprint PCS stating that they were coming after me for a bill that was paid in full over two years ago. The collection notice I received stated that I owe Sprint PCS 157.89.

I was mad when I finished reading the letter and called the number. Low and behold I got an answering machine that stated to leave my name, phone number, and account number and reason for calling and they would get right back.

They returned my call 3 weeks later, stating that I owe the bill and would I like to do a check by phone. I TOLD THEM ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! After I refused to due a check by phone, they said that I was responsible for the bill. I said it's kind of hard to be responsible for a bill that has been paid in full for over two years. I also preceeded to tell them that I have a canceled check with paid in full written in the memo, and have a receipt showing the balance paid in full.

I asked the jerk for their fax number and he said that he wasn't allowed to give out their fax number. The jerk from Calvary - SprintPCS told me that he would send a dispute package and I would receive it in 5-7 business days. Here it is, March 28 and no dispute package. BIG SURPRISE!!!!

Listen about marking out your ABA and account Number

Listen to the previous comment about marking out your account number. My bank, WoodForest National Bank, has blocking it's routing numbers from use by Sprint PCS due to Sprint overcharges and unauthorized debits on many customer accounts. This tells me I am not stupid and Sprint is doing this to a lot of people when a National Bank actually takes the steps to block a major company like Sprint from using the bank. That costs the bank a lot of money, but I suppose that they were losing more to Srint's fraudulent billing practices. I have had the same problem with Sprint and stopped my service with them. They overcharged and are attempting to keep these amounts on the books , other wise their stock prices will drop dramatically. They have to create false accounts receivables to kepp the profit % up. The best thing you can do is tell everyone about them and eventually they will lose so much customer business they will be forced to sell out or change. Look what happened to MCI. Most consumers could have told you MCI would go out years before it did. Sprint will too. Just tell everyone you know not to use them. Wachovia Bank is the same. All the comments on Rip off about Wachovia. Look what shows up in the news ...Wachovia selling customer information. Shouldn't be a suprise to anyone

send a letter with your check copy, not asking, but DEMANDING that they cease all contact and give them 30 days to remove erroneous information

FAX Number... 914-347-1973. When you fax this check copy, PLEASE blank out the account and routing number if you still have this account open..these dumpster dogs cannot be trusted with your financial information and may do a little "self-help." Also, send a letter with your check copy, not asking, but DEMANDING that they cease all contact and give them 30 days to remove erroneous information from the credit bureau reports. Let them know that failure to do so will result in your taking every legal option available to you. Also wouldn't hurt to cc the letter to your attorney and William Haynes of the Federal Trade Commission. In addition to faxing the above, also send via Certified Mail or Priority Mail with signature confirmation, as well as keeping your fax confirmation..paper trail them until they are blue in the face.

CALVARY PORTFOLIO NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!!!!

This is an update to my earlier complaint. I received a call from Calvary Portfolio yesterday 4/19/05 stating that they want there money now. I told the gentleman that I had the proof and was waiting for the dispute package or a fax number. He stated that they couldn't give me a fax number and I needed to settle this matter immediatly. They once again wanted my routing number, checking account number along with ss# and drivers license number. There is absolutly no way I will give them this information and they said that they will turn over to an attorney. I told them to go ahead that they are a scam company and several sites were verifying the fradulant acts. The rude jerk wanted to know which sites and I told him that he was so smart, to look them up himself. Calvary Portfolio needs to be stopped.

AH, THEIR "DISPUTE PACKAGE" they refused to remove the erroneous entry from my credit report

What you will get is a packet of papers asking for a copy of your Driver's License, a utility bill, and asking for a police report for Identity Theft. DO NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING! What you can send them is a certified letter stating that it is not your job to prove that the debt is not a valid one..it is their job to prove that it is. CC a copy of this to your State Attorney General, Sprint, the American Collectors Association and the Federal Trade Commission. With this certified letter, send a copy of the PAID check (I would advise hiding the routing and account numbers, as crooks such as these cannot be trusted with your account information and may "help themselves" to whatever they can!). Also send a copy of this check to your State AG. I did this and they refused to remove the erroneous entry from my credit report (though they did stop the calls and letters). I finally had to get my attorney to write them a strongly-worded letter, giving them 30 days to have this off my credit reports or face legal action.
