Camco Capital Aquisiton Management Company Scam, trying to collect a 12 yr. old debt that never existed, don't give them any information Rockford Illinois
I received a phone call from a person representing herself as Carmen Brown from CAMCO. She stated that she was calling to collect a debt that my husband had incurred from 1991. The only problem was that there was no debt to be collected. They stated that he needed to pay on an original amount of $362.21 and that now with penalities and finance charges we needed to pay $733.97. But they were willing to settle this amount today. THey had the last four digits of mu husbands social security number and wanted me to tell them what the whole number was.
When I did not give that information to her she said that I could speak with her superivisor. This man represented himself as Glenn Ross at ext. 1510. He stated that he was collecting a credit card debt and that he would just call my husband at work. And he had his previous employment history. When I told him that I would have my husband call him back, he hung up on me.
My husband called back and they kept putting him on hold and refused to given him a physical address. They kept hanging up on us and when we called the fourth time, the lady that answered the phone stated that they were only an answering service and did not have any information on the company. The only way I got any address was to go on line. It is interesting that this company has had 12 complaints just in the 2 years they have been in so-called business. If you don anything else. Never give out any information and don't pay anything. We have only received one call and hopefully we won't get anymore. This is a great web-site. Thank you for your information.
