Campus Lodge Apartments Made up charges after moving out in an attempt to get more money out of me Lutz, Florida
Campus Lodge Apartments attempted to make up charges one month after moving out. For example, they tried to charge me $110 for a missing screw on my chair. They also tried to charge me for an access card that I had already paid for, broken blinds, and the light globe? There were two light globes in my room when I moved in, and there was two when I moved out. Why was I charged for this!?
Also, my roomates and I complained multiple times about our Air conditioner not working properly and they failed to fix it everytime, claiming everything was fine. Our A.C could never fall below 78 degrees even when setting it to 70 degrees. A friend of mine who happens to know a lot about air conditioners simply cleaned all the dust and mold off of the A.C Coils and the A.C began working great. We were able to knock down the A.C to 72 degrees with out a problem. We were paying $160 extra per month because the A.C was overworking and running up our electric bill.
After explaining the A.C situation to the manager upon moving out, she was very rude and unprofessional and basically told us since our lease was up at 12:00 she didn't want to bother with us any more. I was a loyal tenant for 3 years, and never late on rent. I was appalled about how I was treated upon moving out.
Campus Lodge is a fraudulent apartment complex and their whole system is designed to take your money, even if the charges aren't warranted.
