Canadian Tire Cornwall ripoff, bad service I ended up paying over $400 for a CD player that I could have gotten and installed for about $230. Cornwall Ontario
Back in October 2003 I bought a Pioneer CD player for my car. The CD player itself was 200$ which wasen't too bad. I got them to install it. They said it would be ready by 4pm. So I went back at 4pm and then they told me that they haden't started on it and that they would have it ready for sure by 9pm.
So I stopped by again at 9 and got the same response. They hadn't started on it and that they would have it the next morning. At this point I was pissed so I gave them s**t for it and told them that it better be or they can just forget about that CD player and that I'd go somewhere else. So the next morning I got there and the car was ready with the Cd player installed. I went in to pay the 230$ they said it would be for the CD player and installation. They added up the bill and it was 357$ since they put the most expensive parts to get it installed. I was pissed and told them about it and talked to the manager.
Then that night as I was driving, I turned on my lights and then the car shut itself off. I turned off the car and the CD player, started it up again. Whenever the lights and CD player were both going, the car would stop running. So the next day I brought it back and they haden't installed it correctly so they charged me another 50$ to get it replaced. I went to the manager with my dad and we both talked to him and explained what happened and he did nothing about it.
So I ended up paying over 400$ for a CD player that I could have gotten and installed for about 230$. I would like to get head office's # or adress so that I can send them a complaint.
