Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My Story is like all the others and I'm sure there are 100's more out there. I bought 10 machines for 16,000.

I have to say Stanley does a great job selling and uses the best techniques, while phrasing everything in order to protect himself legally. I have contacted Candy King personally and through the BBB.

Forget the BBB. Stanley does a great job responding to issues, except none of them are the issues that were originally addressed. I know of a local man who was successful in closing out his business relationship with Stanley Gladstone and Candy King of America. Don't Give Up!!

1.The selling process is full of lies. They say that they strive on intergrity and honestly and I have experienced------None.

2. They do not help you get started they only help you continue to get ripped off. By giving you the names of placement companies who do the same thing. Yes. It's true they are a separate entity, however, placement companies are a huge part of their sales process. Anyone hear of June Placement and Tim Ritchie? They folded and disappeared days after they cashed my placement check. I have not talked to one individual who was successful with any Placement Company. The company I used came highly recommended. In fact a personal recomendation from my sales rep. Juan Dilama. Who, by the way, no longer existed with the company after my sale. Along with customer service personel I dealt with.

3.You can not change your order or cancel your order---even hours after it is processed. I tried. That was only the beginning of this mess.

4. The machines are incredibly cheap. One fell over on carpet and cracked.

5. The gum clogs up in the bottom of the machine no matter what the temperature is. Then the machine is "Out of Order" until it is repaired.

6. They make offers to try and work with you but they require further dollar output. For example: Here's an even bigger deal for you. Buy 10 more at half the price.

7. Any deals that are made and agreed to are never carried out. Usually the person who made the deal no longer works for the company when the issue is followed up on. Or it is never acknowledged or remembered.

8. Any correspondance with the company is close to impossible if it is a complaint.

9. My keys fit into other machines. Not just the gum storage area they also fit in the quarter compartment. Another altoid machine owner and I stood together while we watched each other open the machines with the same key. The key numbers are 703 and 704. Mr. Gladstone told me it was an oversight. Also, that it would cost a lot of money to have each key individualized for the lock. They could at least separate them by state.

Let me finish by saying like all of you interested in the purchase of these machines and others who lie victim of the unscrupulous sales of them, I only wanted this to be a success. I didn't intend on becoming rich from 10 machines. It was just a way to have a little extra money and that was only after getting back the original investment. Even after all the mess I still tried dealing with Mr. Gladstone in a reasonable manner. It was impossible.

At this point what I want is to be finished with any dealings with the altoid product and Candy King of America. If there is a possibility of a lawsuit I will pursue. Any other advice would be appreciated as well. In the mean time I will send copies of all written correspondance I have had to the suggested addresses read on another report.

Thanks for ripoffreport.com. Hopefully it will help me to carry out what it was designed for----to protect the consumer.
