Canon rebate on selected printers when purchased with a notebook computer. Rebates go through Continental Promotion Group in Tempe, Arizona which is also found on the web as www.rebatestatus.com.

Received e-mail confirmation on 7-13-2006 that rebates totaling $90 had been processed and mailed. Was told to expect a delay of 30 days for mail from Arizona to southern California!

Received checks on 11-3-2006. Checks had a date of 6-13-2006 and a void date of 9-11-2006. Yes I received the checks almost two months after the void date!

Their e-mails do not state that the checks have a void date. Had their e-mails so stated I surely would have been on top of this. This is an obvious intentional delay by CPG to avoid paying. Or an unintentional problem with their check production and mailing. I think it's the former.

I find in searching here and across the web that there are many who have experienced rebate fraud when CPG is involved in the process. I question any denial by the major companies such as Canon that uses CPG as a rebate services provider. I have filed with the local BBB in Tempe, the Arizona Attorney General and the FTC.

This growing problem with rebate services needs federal investigation and federal laws.

First off it is not Tempe, AZ it is Pheonix, AZ that your rebate was mailed to. If we mailed the checks out on 07/13/2006 why did you not contact 08/13/2006?? That would be the 30 days?? We can not control the post office on when they deliver the rebates to you. If you would have contacted us after 30 days we would have stop payed the check and reissued a new one. Common sense as well is that a check expires eventually. So now that you received 2 checks did you bother to call to have them reissued? I did not think so but maybe you should call before it is really too late.
