Capital Benefits Group Offered $5000 Mastercard Took my Money and sent no card Plattsburg New York
This company called my husband and offered him a Visa or Master card with a $5000.00 credit limit. They said that they would need a one time fee of $289.99 and that they could do it by bank draft. They said they were a sister company to Capitol One.
We did a little checking and found the Rip off report site. They were on it and are not a sister company to anyone. We got the phone number from this site and called them back telling them not to take the money out of our bank account and that they were on the rip off report.
They took the money anyway. We told them we wanted out money back and they said to tell the bank we wanted to do a charge back, (this means that the Bank refunds our money and takes the loss, not Capital Benefits group). We talked to the bank and told them what was said.
The bank said that Capital Benefits took the money out electronicly and they could refund it the same way. Needless to say we have been fighting with them since.
We howevever did find out something that most people don't know. We contacted the F.B.I. and they said to call the Attourney General in our state, that they could make them pay it back. We contacted them and they ARE going to make these CROOKS pay back every penny.
If these people have done this to you then call the Attourney Generals office in your state and they can help you also, you need to call within 60 days of the bank draft so that it can be refunded to you.
