RIP OFF ARTISTS!!!!
I received a certificate saying that I was approved for a Platinum Card for $5000, 0% interest for the first 12 months. I wrote them a check for $39 almost 2 months ago and have never recieved a card. I looked on the certificate that I kept for a phone number and THERE ISN'T ONE! How convienent.
Not long after I had sent my check, I received a call from someone representing themselves as giving me a gift from or on behalf of the credit card company. The GIFT was a long distance card for something like 100 free minutes.
In checking my bank statement I had a $39 charge from CCCC, when I called the 800# associated (888-797-8137) with the charge on my statement, I got a recording saying that everyone was busy and that the next available person would answer my call, needless to say, I got disconnected EVERYTIME. FRAUD... then I got scared.
Then, there was another charge for $39 from MEGA MINUTE, I never authorized this charge. This was apparently the company that called about the free long distance card.
This is how they got my bank account information:
The check that I wrote for the enrollment fees of $39 this Mega Minute, they took my account number and routing information and debited my account without my authorization.
I have filed a dispute of the charges with my bank and am waiting the outcome.
STOP THESE PEOPLE, FILE A FRAUD REPORT WITH THE POLICE AS WELL!
