Capital Financial Capital Financial ripped me off with their financial card They fail to mention that it is not a Credit Card but instead it is a Catalog Card Largo Florida
This company called saying that I had been Approved for a Capital Credit Card to help rebuild my credit. The limit was $2000.00 and that in order to receive this card I would need to allow them to debit $200.00 from my account and that the $200.00 would be returned to me in four credit vouchers once I got the card.
My account was drafted on 6\15\06 and I received the card today, 7/22/06. I made numerous attempts to have my money returned to my account with no help. I contacted Capital Financial and always got the run around from their so called supervisor that goes by the name of "Maggie", who refuses to give you her last name as well as her direct phone number or extention. When asked about the recording saying that this was a Capital Credit Card she denied it quickly stating that the rep stated in the beginning of the call that this card was a Capital Financial Catalog Card. Let's be honest a moment, if I am trying to rebuild my credit why would I do it with a catalog credit card.
It is a shame how they take advantage of people and then use their own taped words to bury them for their gain. I even thought about having a family member and other friends that reside in Florida to rally outside their office, but that may not help since the address given may be bogus.
Now I am out $200.00 and then will have to pay $35.00 to cancel this card or be charged an inactivity fee of $10.00 per month that will be billed to me quarterly at $30.00 for an inactive account. Tell me is this crap legal.
