Capital First, Kate Blackwell ripoff I was contacted by phone, with the offer for a $2500 credit card rip-off liars victimized us Miami Florida
August 14,2002, I was called to the phone. The woman on the other end, asked me if I was interested in a MasterCard with a $2500. limit. She asked a lot of questions, and told me that the card had an annual fee of $29.95. That sounded reasonable, and she asked the numbers of my checking account, which I gave her, then she said I needed to hold the line, for verification process. When her 'supervisor' came on the line, he mentioned another charge of $99.50, at which time, I said 'NO' and hung up the phone.
The following day, this 'supervisor' called and left a message on my answering machine, that since I had not gone through the verification process, that they were going to take $99.50 out of my account, and if those funds were not there, then they were going to charge me an additional $150. I immediately called my bank, and put a stop payment on both of those amounts. However, my banker had a better suggestion for me, which I took. I circumvented Capitol First from removing any funds from my account.
I also went on line, and could not find any Capitol First, Capitol 1st, nor anything like that listed as a bank. The sales persons name she said was Kate Blackwell, and she gave me the phone number 1-866-892-6018. And her personal #879458. However, when I called that number, the people there, would not tell me if they were "CapitolFirst" nor anything else. They said that I was not in their data-base, and therefore was not one of their customers. That could all have been a lie. Anyway, I didn't have a good feeling about it. I know people all over the country, and I have sent e-mails to all of them, and asked them to pass the word about this so called mastercard.
One of my friends in another state, found the Rip-off Report and gave me the info, to file this complaint. I hope you nail the jerks. They can't get me, but for all of them that have been gotten!
