Capital Vacations Money repeatedly debited from my account even after cancelation no package received St.Petersburg Florida
In mid May, I was contacted by some guy saying that if I was willing to try the free trial of their vacation and travel package, I would receive a free vacation including airfare.
(I should have hung up then) He told me that if after 14 days of receiving the package info in the mail I did not want it, to call the number listed in the package and cancel. There would be a 59.95 debit to my account for the membership fee if i didnt cancel. Well, I waited and waited but never received anything from these people. How can I cancel something if i never receive anything?
Well, I checked my account balance and low and behold there was an NSF fee of 30.00 for a returned electronic check, in the amount of 149.00!!!!!! No wonder there was an NSF charge by my bank, I did not have 149.00 in my account, nor did I ever authorize any transaction for that!!! I called the number that was given to me by my back to contact them at, and I never have been able to contact anybody. Its all automated. It asked me for my phone number to verify my account, and then says press ## to talk to a customer service rep. Well after I press ## it just disconnects me. I called it again and pressed # just once, and it tells me that all reps are busy and to try again later. There was an option to cancel through the automated system, I did cancel it, several times.
My bank put a stop on the transaction so this wouldnt happen again , yet I was still out the 30 bucks for the NSF fee. Well today I go to grocery store, get to the checkout, and my debit card was declined. I get home look up my account on the computer and find out that there has been another transaction for 59.95. Well since I only had about 40 dollars in my account i was charged another NSF fee. I looked and found out that it is the same place, debiting my account again. STAY AWAY FROM CAPITAL VACATIONS. They are some scandelous SOB's. I cant see why nobody has shut them down by now and prosecuted them. They need to go to jail for along long long time.
