Here at Car X in Elgin we pride ourselves in nearly 3 decades of family ownership and have served the community fairly and without fail that entire time.
This consumer seems to be concerned with the + key. This key has millions of uses for millions of different programs, therefore it is quite impossible to just see a person using the keyboard and assume one knows exactly what the keystroke is doing. Our computer system uses the + sign to begin a new line for a part number or move to the next step in constructing an invoice. Secondly, there is no way being a locally owned small business, that we can compete with a large internet parts supplier. So, do we charge 1800% mark up as accused? absolutely not. Furthermore to narrowly compare our cost of goods to our quote is extremely inaccurate for a surplus of reasons. You are getting a no questions asked warranty on parts and labor, we incur a lot of additional costs during the repair, example the heavily rusted Geo in question would of most likely needed addition attention, for which we would have taken care of.
