With names mispelled and the wrong addresses and everything, this merchant account and lease was approved for a store I did NOT own. These criminal acts and gross negliegence later destroyed my credit.... The worst part about it, is that this companies negligence and total disregard to the crimes that they still employ the sales rep whos name is own the fake contract. Talk about an injustice to merchants... Look out First Data, I've got an attorney now, and he is as eager as I am to see you in court.

Hi, I recently got ripped off by first leasing data company also. I sold my business and paid the $500 early termination fee (even though, at the time, the sale person told me it is $250). I decided to move on so I paid the $500 fee and the representative told me to contact First Leasing Data to send the equipment back. I contacted them and they told me to pay extra $700-$1200 for the equipment which I have never heard of (not by sale person NOR on the contract). I called them several times after I got their voice msgs on my machine and each time,no one picked up the phone. Toward the end, I received a letter from the collection agency telling me I have to pay roughly $1200 for the machine. I am very very pissed off since I DON'T have a contract with them and I already paid $500 early termination fee. This is RIDICULOUS and definitely not the way a business should run. Please contact me if you can help me. Thanks.

I am outraged that a company can be so good at looking legitimate as it scams small retailers! I have quite litterally never heard of this company, and was confused when I sold my retail shop and tried to cancel my service. Some DUDE uttered "Nah, you gotta pay a $500 cancellation fee as per yah contract". I asked them how I could have missed this part of the contract (attended law school). But I knew something was up when the DUDE wouldn't send me a signed contract, proving that I was aware of any of these oppressive terms. Now they are sending me letters of invoices with penalties for "NSF" checks and "monthly rental fees". I urge you all to CLOSE YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS and open new ones. Do not submit to them until they show you a contract signed by YOU. Note*** They have been accused of forgery. So if you don't have the original contract for your merchant services provider, don't panic. Call the FTC.

I sold my pizza franchise and the only company I had an impossible time with was this company "First Data". I tried to cancel my credit card processing service, but a customer service rep told me I had to pay $500 and that he wasn't interested in accomodating my cancellation request. To be honest, I had never heard of this company until I started getting "past due" notices, and apparent attempts on their side to withdraw funds from my closed business account! Now they are sending me invoices with NSF fees, monthly "rental" fees. But all the while, they have not, and will not show me a d**n contract!!! DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE. Contact the FTC and the Florida Attorney General's office. If you want to share an attorney, post a rebuttal with contact info.
