Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
During the first 6 months of having this credit care I made a payment ONE DAY too early. I didn't realize that I had to wait until the statement "cut" as I guess I'd never "happened" to make apayment that close to the cut off date before. Anyway, when I called to find out why I was charged and my interest rate raised, I was told. The company could see what I had done yet they refused to work with me and I was placed in a higher interest rate bracket.

About 6-8 months later I went out to pay my monthly payment online. It happened to be a Friday and the payment was due on a Saturday, of all days. The web site was down. I had NO WAY to get them the payment now. They would be closed the day it was due. On Monday, I paid. The web site was running fine. I also called them to let them know why the payment didn't get there Saturday and why. Again they refused to work with me! They actually accused me of making "a mistake" in going to their web site (in other words accused me of lying)!

I have had quite a few credit cards in my life and my credit is very good, so I don't appreciate any company treating me, their customer, in this way. I worked with them in good faith and they did not deal with me in good faith in return. I have never had ANY trouble with any other credit card company I've ever had. I am disappointed that my dentist recommended my using them, thereby giving themselves a cover of respect; after all if my Dentists office is using the company, it MUST be a decent company, right?

Wrong.

After going back through my bills and notes I found that I did call, and they were opened - I should have dug through my papers earlier and been more accurate. However, this doesn't change the facts, which is their unwillingness to work with their customers in good faith. When I told them the site was down, not only did they insinuate this wasn't true because "someone" had gotten through earlier that day, they also informed me that they would charge me to pay the bill by phone. Since the problem stemmed from THEIR web site being down, not my lack of payment attempt, I told the person I would pay it on Monday unless they waived the fee. They refused. This was just the last straw for me in a long line of failures on their part to work with me in good faith.

So you "know people who work there"? I know people who work for the DMV too, but that sure as heck doesn't make ME and expert on how the DMV runs their business OR treats their customers. Maybe you missed the various ways they used to "not work with" their customer. Sounds to me like you have some reason to protect them. Perhaps you actually work for them yourslef rather than just knowing people who do. It really doesn't matter though. The web site and payment problems at that point had nothing to do with WHY or WHEN they raised my rates, whether or not they work with customers on due dates, or most anything else I complained about. "That" was the last straw, not anywhere near the first. After all this time I do not remember if they were closed Saturday or if they were going to charge me to pay by phone but I can assure everyone that I tried to pay on time, as I ALWAYS do. However, I would not have been willing to let them charge me since it was THEIR fault that their site was down, not mine, and I would have told them that I would pay on Monday. It is unfortunate that I can not remember exactly which it was now, but it's been a long time. At any rate, all this is moot since the rate had already been raised by this time, though I had tried to work with them over and over again. To others reading this: I have many credit cards and ALL of them are willing to work with customers on due dates. I'm sure that most of you also have cards and so KNOW that this is true. Most all that is, but this one. For those of you reading this, here is another site where there are quite a few complaints about this company. Seems that I'm far from the only customer who found them unwilling to work with me.

Call Them

#4Consumer Suggestion

They are not closed on Saturday or Sunday, if you called you could have advised them of the problem with the website and they would have taken a payment over the phone for you. Please, don't reply and say that they were closed that particular Saturday, because they weren't, I know several people who work there. If they aren't in the hours you are calling, the people in India are handling their calls for them.
