UPS Tracking Number = 1Z3F1W500398202666.
A PayPal Dispute was also opened in an attempt to recover my initial purchase money sent to CARiD. The seller has to date (5/10/2015) ignored all correspondence Emails from PayPal. If they do not respond within 10 days, I will automatically receive my refund through PayPal, but I will still be out of pocket for the additional transportation charges/U-Haul truck rentals.
So, I am now out of pocket $106.53 total in transportation charges for these running boards that I was sold by CARiD which was claimed to definitely fit, but did not fit on my 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE Minivan per Bobby Rahal Toyota when they attempted to do the installation of them.

So, I hereby warn anyone who decides to do business with CARiD.com, to do it at your own risk because they will not stand behind their own faults and you will get screwed if you have to endure the situation that I unfortunately had to go through!!!

Kayla Sambor from your "Customer Experience Center" at CARiD sent me an email with a link to the installation instructions on 4/19/2015, long before the running boards were even shipped and I then printed them out and gave them to the Service Manager at Bobby Rahal Toyota to look them over to see if this was an installation job that they were even willing to get themselves involved with. They argeed to do the installation job for $160. If they were out to rip me off, they never would have never even been honest about a "missing mounting hole" in the frame according to the instructions (they even stated this on their invoice since I had other things done while my vehicle was there) that was supposed to be present and just did the job anyway, just so they could make money off of me. Most Car Dealers would have done this, but this is why I use Bobby Rahal Toyota, because they are straight forward and honest with me always! They strive to have customer satisfaction, not rip them off. This is why they have such a large turnover of repeat business!!!

Before you DARE to question my credibility, or the credibility of the Toyota Dealer, let's first look at the track record here on Ripoff Report....CARiD who you represent, has TWENTY TWO (22) reports now filed on behalf of disgruntled customers who have been ripped off by YOUR COMPANY and Bobby Rahal Toyota (The Toyota Dealer which I choose to use for ALL my repairs) has ZERO (0) Ripoff Reports filed against them on this website! That alone should speak for itself, who is truthful and who is NOT!!!
Now regarding your fabricated story about the running boards being damaged, I personally opened the beat up box when I received them to make sure that they were not damaged, or they would have been shipped right back to you, not transported to a Toyota Dealer in a U-Haul Rented Truck! I looked at several pictures on the Internet of earlier model years 2011-2012 with these installed and if I did not like the way that they looked installed, since the body style is identical to my 2015 Toyota Sienna, I certainly would have never ordered them in the first place!
The Toyota Dealer did not screw up anything and my vehicle is 100% stock, A Brand New 2015 Model with only 577 miles on it when it was dropped off to have these non-fitting running boards installed!
I printed out the detailed installation instructions emailed to me from your company by Kayla Sambor on 4/19/2015 and gave them to the Toyota Service Manager to look at even before the vehicle or the running boards were even brought to the Toyota Dealer to make sure this was a job that they were even willing to do for me, since it involves installing "AFTERMARKET PARTS" that most dealers will not even get involved with doing!
At the Toyota Dealer, upon inspecting the vehicle and instructions I provided them with from your own website, they determined that the running boards would not fit according to your furnished installation instructions and they would not in any way, shape, or form, modify my vehicle away from factory specifications and have the liability of a casualty happen to possibly arise against them, nor have it void my factory warranty. Furthermore, they never even opened the box of running boards, because they never even got to the point of ever installing them since all they needed to do beforehand, was look at the installation instructions and the underside of my vehicle while it was up in the air on their lift, to determine that they were not going to fit! I know for a fact that they never opened the box of running boards because I had retaped the box after I inspecting them for damage upon receiving them and the tape that I placed on the box was never even cut open, so don't go and blame the Toyota Dealer for all these FABRICATED ACCUSATIONS OF YOURS!
The bottom line is this, once again: I contacted SteelCraft (The Manufacturer of the running boards) and they told me that these running boards WOULD NOT FIT A 2015 Toyota Sienna, your company advertised them on YOUR WEBSITE as that they DID FIT, which is a TOTAL LIE! I requested several times to be reimbursed for having to rent a U-Haul Truck to transport these running boards to and from the Toyota Dealer and I was denied a reimbursement for your misrepresentation. I even gave your Customer Service Representative one last chance to make things right and reimburse me for my expenses due to your LIES, but was again refused. I then promised that I would post my documentation on this website for all to see about how you treat your customers! So, don't get all pissy with me now after the fact when you were given the opportunity to avoid all of this multiple times and I kept my word as I promised that I would. All you had to do was give proper customer service for YOUR MISTAKE and all of this would have been avoided. Now you can live with this public report that will NEVER be removed. You can keep posting rebuttals all you want, but the TRUE FACTS have been stated over and over again by me!!!

The only reason they would dig in like this is if the item was damaged when they received it, If so then it makes sense. They WILL NOT be able to resell that set and they get to eat it. Since you have no real idea if the item actually did not fit and the shop that did the work just screwed up. You have made assumptions based small bits of info and that is a shortsighted approach. Are you 100% sure the shop didnt just screw up and damaged the runners and repack them? You are so willing to vilify that company without taking other possibilities into account. Kinda sounds as if that may be the issue and you dont want to admit that. What makes it worse is if it was the correct item for your vehicle and the problem is your vehicle isnt STOCK specs. That would mean you knew they may have damged it and shipped it back anyways. Just saying too many possible variables and you have deliberatly focused on only one. The one that completly ignores any guilt at ALL on anyone on your end of the situation. YOU have come to this site for what you percieve to be justice. Yet you fail to extend this to them. If the people you hired to do that job did damage the runners then is it "right" that THEY should have to refund the money AND eat the costs of shipping AND eat the cost of the runners as well? How is that justice? Sounds less like justice and more like screw you give me my way. Or it could be as simple as YOU didnt like how the runners looked AFTER you had them installed Its probably in thier policy that if you lie and say it doesnt fit and it does actually fit that they do not refund the shipping costs. YOU changing your mind is not a valid reason sometimes for getting your way.
