Carleton Sheets Professional Education Institute ripoff, dishonest, fraudulent billing Wood Dale Illinois
We ordered the special Carleton Sheets real estate course offered for $9.95 in early September of this year after viewing one of his infomercials. The package was delivered about a week later. After looking it over, we decided we could not afford the
course at this time, so we phoned them and explained the situation to them, thought they attempted to persuade us to purchase part of the course, which we refused.
We were given a package number, and insured everything at the post office. The postal receipts, however were either lost or thrown away. One month to the day after returning the package,
we were again charged about $137.00 on our bank account, with no warning of any kind! After calling two times to the billing dept.,they refused to confirm whether or not the package was lost, but simply hinted it and said they couldn,t find a record of it.
They explained that it was worth about $475.00. Another operator told us a different story. He said they had no record of us in the computer! I called Better Business Bureau after visiting the bank, and they are sending three pages full of information on Carleton Sheets. We can only wonder what that might contain. Two
bank representatives today asked if he might be fraudulent, and the other lady there warned us not to get involved any more with those kind of people. The postal worker knows us, remembers us sending the package and is trying to help as well. We hope something works out soon.
