Carlos Romero used the license number of another contractor and passed himself and Pro-Fit Kitchens as a California Licensed Contractor. He used the license of another company and refused to finish the kitchen remodel in my house. Romero was sued and lost a default judgement and has evaded payment for over one year. He continues to act as a remodel salesman in Escondido, CA. A police report of identity theft has been filed by the licensed contractor with the Escondido Police. The San Diego District attorney is reviewing this case and a criminal complaint is in process.
Mr. Romero has filed for personal baankruptcy to have the default judgement set aside. There are several othe disputes in regards to Romero and Pro-Fit Kitchens.
The contractor that had his licensed used has informed me that if I do not release him from the judgement he will file suit against me citing Cal Code1798.93.
To date I have paid and aditional $ 12,000 for repairs and corrections to the job Pro-Fit did not completesand have paid nearly $ 4,000.00 in attorney fees.
The San Diego Court awarded me $ 21,700.00 and to date Romero has not responded to any of my attorney's or the Superior Courts letters and filings.
So far all I have received is comments from the licensee's attorney that I will be sued if I do not set aside the default Judgement for Larry Richard Graham and Accurate Carpentry.
Carlos Romero of 1616 Hawridge drive, Escondido is a thief and a contractor fraud avoid him and any company he represents.
