Carmax ripoff Kennesaw Georgia
Bought a 2000 Toyota with 27000 miles on it. Also bought the extended warranty so I would not have to worry about the car. Had the car 2 weeks and the clutch went out. Had the car towed to Carmax in Kennesaw Ga and it was repaired but the transmission started acting up. It would grind when you would shift gears.
Took it back to carmax and they said nothing was wrong. Drove the car 2 months and the motor blew. It has had Reg. service and was kept in tip top shape by me. I had the car towed back to carmax and was told that it would not be covered by the warranty. I was also charged for the tow bill to carmax and back home.
Carmax said that if they feel you have abused the car (it has never been abused by me) they would not cover it. This is an easy out for them to use this. I have called and talked to everybody I can at Carmax and have gotten nowhere. Some were very rude. I now have a high dollar piece of junk that carmax could care less about. I will never ever set foot in a carmax dealership again and will make it my life goal to let anyone who will listen what kind of custormer service this place has.
If you buy a car from Carmax no matter what they say you have NO warranty even if you pay for the 4 year exteneded warranty. I made a high dollar mistake don't you do the same.
