Carmax of Schaumburg And Naperville ripoff! Lemon, been in shop 16 times in 5 months. Will not refund. Took back 3rd day and still is not fixed Schaumburg And Naperville Illinois
My husband and I bought a 1999 ford windstar with only 34,000 miles from carmax because we thought that they were a reputable company and did 125 point inspections. Boy were we wrong. If you feel the same way call me at (see link below) or email me at (see link below). I would like to file a class action suit.
We bought the van in November 2004 and 3 days after we bought it we had to take it in for a noise in the steering. They greased the problem before we drove it off the lot. We had to take it back 3 different times to get it realigned. Apparentely they could not do it right the first time.
We had to have the tie rods replaced. The trunk was not alligned. They greased that the first time and then when brought up again they replaced the rods. They also had to replace the brakes because they were squeaking so loud you could not hear the radio. There was a vent missing under the seat. The steering was very loose, and the kid told us that it is not a sports car it should not be tight.
My mother has the exact same year make and model and her steering was perfect. They eventually fixed that, and did not reallign so again I was at carmax. One of the wipers broke in half. The brakes were replaced and not more than two weeks later they are squeaking. The serpentine belt had to be replaced.
Check engine light came on, they had to replace the intake manifold gasket. Now the fuel pump is going out and Mike the manager said he knew it was the fuel pump but they can not do anything until the van completely dies. I have two babies under two years old I do not need to worry about this van dying on me and being stuck on the side of the f-ing road.
It is getting worse every day, and now the van is idling bad. We finally asked for our money back and they refused. All this has happened in 6 months. I do not believe they inspected this van at all. I want to do something about this. How can they get away with this??????
