Beware of Carpe Diem Volleyball. This organization will promptly collect $500.00 from you promising to the "...the cultivation of young people through the sport of volleyball. Carpe Diem Volleyball believes not only in training young people in the skills of the game itself, but also in promoting a lifelong attitude of working hard to achieve a goal."....but the moment they have your cash on hand, this mission not followed.

This organization claims to be a Christian based focus, yet does not seek the truth nor stand by it's promises. They will take your money, but not inform you of what type of teams you will be playing, or if you will even be playing teams your own age. They will give you coaches who have never coached nor played indoor volleyball, than tell you to be patient the coach learns!! In the meantime, your child is not being taught proper skills, the rules of the game, etc.

They will have you sign Code of Conduct, but will only enforce these rules on certain individuals. They will not enforce them on every player. You can not question their methods nor ask for a refund. They will have excuses but no solutions. They just want your money and the result of your time and effort will be the regression of your player only.

The practices are not structured, the children are not directed, and the promises told to you at the "parent meeting" last as long as the meeting only. There is no follow through. They will take your child's spirit away. You will not be instructed properly, the schedules change last minute, they don't inform you of all the added costs expected of you, they will take your money for team pictures but never supply the pictures. The list is endless and disheartening.

There are many very good programs out there for children; this is NOT one of them.

I have been a part of this organization from the beginning. The skills that my child has learned are incredible. It is a new organization and with all new things there is a learning experience. Communication is the key, and that is what this situation was lacking. It was merely a misunderstanding and the whole thing was cleared up. The owners of this organization did everything they could to change the problem and it was fixed. This is a Christian organization, the owners of Carpe Diem have wonderful faith, and I am proud to know them and their family. They do care about the kids or they would not be doing this. The money that we pay is minimal compared to other organizations. Entering into tournaments is expensive. Renting facilities to practice and not to mention the uniforms for practice, each child is given their own ball, and tournaments are not free. You are only going to get out of an organization what you put into it. I am sure this was just an angry parent who now regrets she typed this in the first place. If you don't believe the things that I am writing.Join them at the beach this summer.send your kid to one of their beach volleyball camps and you will see..your child will be a better player because they are wonderful coaches.

What are you thinking? This mother also needs to get her facts straight on the cost

I don't know what this parent has seen. The owners of the club have been at every practice helping the coach in his growth. Yes the practices weren't very structured in the beginning but they were trying to let the coach do his job. I sat through many practices and saw this kid throw an attitude and not try to learn anything new! They have spent many hours trying to develop this program and are doing so with great success. This mother also needs to get her facts straight on the cost. It was only 400 and was a great deal for the tournaments and coaching my daughter received. we also went to the beach last weekend and had a great time. Thanks D & M for all you do.
