The dentist was not in charge. His office staff ran the show.  The women in the office were calious, insensative, and crude. Before making the appointment to have major work done I had a dental cleaning done at this same practice a week or two before. I was told at that time there would be no charges or deductibles for the cleaning as they had already received prior authorization from the insurance company. When I arrived for major work the office manager kept hounding me for $130.00 - claiming that was the balance from the dental cleaning although she stated at the time of the cleaning there would be no charge for that as everything had been approved. While waiting for the dentist the office manager complained of constpation and asked me for some exlaxs as if if I was a walking pharmacy. When I told her I didn't carry things like that around she asked me to go to the local CVS around the corner and buy her some. I refused which put her in a bad mood. I had always dealt with the sister practice of Carroll Dentisty before. It was painless dentistry. They used nitrious if you asked for it. Imagine my surprise when this location refused to use it - claiming it caused breast cancer in women and also made men sterile.

The treatment was an absolute nightmare. I sat in the dental chair in absolute pain. On the way out I asked for some pain pills. I was told by the office manager they didn't believe in them. But there was a bar around the corner that featured two for one drinks during happy hour & that should kill any pain I was in. I was speechless. I could not believe what I was hearing.  The office manager wanted to be paid also. I knew there would be a $200.00 deductible on major dental work. But this woman could not or would not give me an exact amount on the rest of the charges claiming she didn't know. I told her when she did know to send me a bill and left. No sooner was I driving on the freeway the office manager kept calling the car phone every little bit demanding money. I told her I was driving and we could continue this conversation when I was not driving on the freeway. She wouldn't listen and still demanded money. When I hung up she would simply call back. I finally told her to xxxx off to which she responded I was no longer welcome at that practice. Two days later my mouth still hurts from the miserable dentistry. This afternoon I am going to go to my regular family physician and get soimething for pain. If the tooth does not feel better by Monday I am going to have to start looking for a different dentist.
