I had a man named Kevin Foster call my cell phone during the work day and demand a credit card payment for a payday loan I never received or he was sending a constable to arrest me for check fraud within the hour.  Initially I wanted to get this resolved so he asked me to send a written statement of intent AND a copy of a credit card or my DL to his fax line. I did not provide a credit card number, but tried to ask for more info and when I did so, he began screaming at me in a very thick accent and said that he would not help and he would just send the police to arrest me.  He threatened that the charges for a $954 payday loan that I supposedly received would jump to over $4000 with court costs and this would be my only opportunity to resolve it out of the court system.  I refused to cooperate and he asked for the name of my supervisor.  Somehow he had my office number and proceeded to call my employer and tell them they were filing criminal charges against me including check fraud and that the police were on their way.  Luckily, my employer also recognized this as a scam and disregarded the call.  The police never showed up and upon my research I have found a TON of these scams on the internet.  If anyone receives a call from a foreign operator claiming to collect for cashnet express, do not provide payment!  In the meantime, my job has been threatened and I lost crucial working hours so I am in the process of finding a way to file suit.

Just exactly who are you going to file a suit against?

This is a scam - many payday loan websites were hacked into and info retrieved - This story was profiled on ABC news many months ago - You will never find these people because they use fake names and untraceble phone numbers

Don't worry - you are in the clear - if and when they call back tell them you know it is a scam and hang up - report it to the appropriate agencies
