Models and talents! Beware of signing up with Casting Factory formerly known as Stylus Canada Corp. This is a ripoff company that uses scam operation-like tactics.
I paid them a upfront fee, never got any work, or the pictures they were supposed to produce for me. Even after providing my own head shots.
They will ask you to pay money up-front in form of management fees, for the head shots or for your photshoot etc. promising the fast track in a modeling career and once you pay them their fee nobody will contact you, return your phone calls or reply to you email. You won't receive any attention, any kind of service, or the head shot materials at all.
The guy who runs casting factory Thomas Jacob aka Thomas Tharakan is the same guy who use to run the famous scam agency STYLUS CANADA which was renamed as WORLD MANAGEMENT GROUP.
His associate/scam buddy Randy Chartrand aka Randy White was also invloved in Stylus Canada Scam and was involved in the Showcase of America "talent search" scam in Western Canada, that left hundreds of young people with broken dreams and their parent with emptied pockets.

If you are planning to sing up with this agency most likely you'll be fooled around and ripped off the same way. Instead, look for the reputable modeling agency that doesn't frequently change the legal name, addresses, phone numbers, etc. but builds the good name and business relations with the clients, customers and business partners for years.

My name is Simone Riding-Cunningham, I am signed with Casting Factory and I DID NOT write this complaint. At the time this post was made, I was working at the Canadian International Auto Show, with a serious cold, so when I finally returned home, the LAST thing I was thinking to do was to get on this site and bag on my agency. There are so many errors within this post, it shows that it is a bad copy/paste job of a post from 2009...absolutely silly. LET ME BREAK IT DOWN FOR YOU:
1. No grammar check, punctuation, SPELLING! If you know me, these things are paramount. I have a web reputation to protect in order to get quality work.
2.Now this post is completely incorrect. I have received work with Casting Factory...A large ad campaign on TV, web and billboards. I have never been promised a 'fast track' in my career from ANY agent (Been modeling for 30 years!), let alone Casting Factory. I did NOT pay an upfront fee, I ALWAYS receive calls / emails / texts from Randy...regarding open calls and auditions; sometimes too many!
3. Regarding the details of Thomas and Randy's past -- I NEVER 'researched' their past. Now, I researched Casting Factory and their track record regarding getting talent work. I have been signed with Casting Factory since Oct 2010 because I work best with boutique agencies. If things ever get 'out of line', there is not a lot of damage control to do. You sever ties and move on. I look to what Thomas and Randy are doing for me in the present and the future, not what they did in the past.
4. IF I decide to put my views on ANY web based forum, I would stand by my words with my FULL name and I would give those same views on Facebook and Twitter. No such posts happen regarding this post. My identity was used to blast my agency which has done right by me as of the date of the post.
This post needs to be removed immediately listing My Name because it is damaging my reputation.
