Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Three months ago I began getting harrassing phone calls from individuals identifying themselves as CBCS associates.I received approximately 12-15 phone calls from their company "associates" (stong-arm phone thugs)...who told they had assumed collection over some bills that I had not paid.

When I asked them for details they became rude, hostile, and threatening. I asked them for the name of the person they were looking for, they wouldn't disclose it. I told them my name and asked them if that was who they were looking for, and they hung up.

They called me reapeatedly for three days,... at work and at home on my cell phone. The third time I answered I demanded to speak to a supervisor. The male I spoke to wanted me to give him all kinds of information about myself, but refused to give me any information about why they kept calling me.

On or about the fourth time they called I fianally found out from one of their henchmen that they were looking for a "Jessie",... and that is not what my name is,.. not even close.I told them they had the wrong number and after my voice mail answered the next four calls from them you would think that they might have figured out that they had the wrong person.

I finally, called them back and threatened them with legal action and reporting them through the state attorney generals office if they did not cease and desist calling my cell phone.

They left me alone for about two months and started calling again. I again threatened them with legal action and they called me about three more times over the next four hours.

They went away this time for about six weeks, but as of 02-28-07 they're back again.

I truely beleive that this company doesn't really care if you owe them money or not. I don't even think they care if they have the wrong person or not. After so much of this harrassment you would almost be willing to pay them to quit bothering you. Some people probably do.

If anyone needs some witness / claimants for a class action,... count me in.

Mark, as per the provisions of the FDCPA, you can request a CEASE COMMUNICATIONs. When they violate the request you sue them. Very simple. Don't get mad, get paid. DO NOT sign this letter, just print. Send this letter by certified mail, return reciept requested. be sure to put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records. It is so much fun to have a debt collector pay you. try it. You'll like it. They are such morons.

Get rid of these vultures easily

Calling repeatedly is against the law, don't get mad, get even, turning the tables on the harrassers is easy, here's how. The next time these rude vultures call, the second you realize who they are press and hold the #1 button on your phone, this sends a piercing squeal through the line to their headphones they'll hang up very fast, do this every time they call to harrass you, it turns the tables back on the harrassers, they only want to harass you, when you harass them back they think it's "Unfair" I actually had a vulture say "You can't stop me from calling" I answered "Maybe not, but I can make you wish you'd never called" (As of now, three months later, she has not called again) It works beautifully.
