Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I am a full time student, and I am looking to get into the IT field. I was filling out practice tests as I studied for my A+ certification, and not 20 minutes later, I got a phone call from a Skillsoft/ CBT Direct representative.

She "informed" me that I was able to obtain my appropriate certification at a much faster and easier rate, and also would have knowledge that not many other competitors would have that were also aiming at the same jobs I were. And that's where it started.

First, let me finish the conversation we had on the phone. She told me the above, and that the course usually costs around $900-1100, and that I would get a deal if I signed up for $600, and I asked her to split it into two payments. I've seen other reports of people saying they've paid thousands for this same course. Why is there such a stark difference in price?

Next, I'll tell you the actual content of the website. She told me I could contact anyone 24/7 with questions regarding the test material. Not like you need it. Let me put it this way: if you're reading this report right now, odds are you know 90% of the material on Skillsoft's website without having to think about it.

The material supplied is a joke. It is filled with content that anyone that has touched a computer over the last 4 years would understand immediately how to complete effortlessly. Such examples include: Configuring Displays and Peripherals (basically plugging in your monitor to your computer), Installing Windows Operating Systems (which includes the difficult task of clicking "Accept" multiple times and letting the computer do everything for you), Operational Procedures and Preventative Maintenance (which means you understand where the defragging and disk cleanup options are located and the basic functionality of what they do.)

Also, just to finalize my viewpoint on their service, their customer representative that was appointed to me continuously calls me on a weekly basis to ask me if I'm completing my work (to make it seem like a personally connected feeling to the person on the other line stealing your money), and shortly after saying something along the lines of "So, when you're done with that, I can save you another $300 if you sign up with us again, so that'll be another $600."

Long story short: Thieving, blood-sucking mongrels. STAY. AWAY.
