IT IS CALLED "CCA SHOPPING NETWORK", BUT WHAT IT SHOULD BE CALLED IS "RIPOFF SHOPPING NETWORK". ALL THEY DO IS SEND YOU A BOGUS "URGENT, APPROVED" LETTER SAYING YOU ARE APPROVED FOR A $6,500 CREDIT LIMIT. THEY ALSO SEND YOU A CARD THAT LOOKS LIKE A CREDIT CARD BUT ALL IT SAYS IS "FIRST NATIONAL CARD". WHEN MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF GOT THE CARD WE OF COURSE WERE COURIOUS ABOUT WHAT EXACTLY THIS CARD AND LETTER WERE. SO I CALLED THE NUMBER GIVEN TO ME ON THE FRONT OF THE CARD THAT SAID CALL TO ACTIVATE YOUR CARD,(1-800-277-7056), WHEN I CALLED, IT WAS BUSY FOR AT LEAST 20 TO 25 MINUTES. WHEN I FINALLY GOT A HOLD OF SOMEONE IT WAS A MAN AND HE SAID OVER AND OVER, "THIS CONFERSATION WILL BE RECORDED FOR FUTURE USE" THEN HE ASKED ME IF I HAD A ACTIVE CHECKING ACCOUNT, I DO NOT HAVE A ACTIVE CHECKING ACCOUNT BUT I TOLD HIM I DID. HE INSTANTLY SAID "OK, CAN YOU GIVE ME YOUR CHECKING INFORMATION" I SAID NO, CAN YOU TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT YOUR COMPANY IS AND EXACTLY WHAT I AM BEING CHARGED. HE SAID "IF YOU CAN JUST GIVE ME YOUR INFORMATION I CAN GO AHEAD AND ACTIVATE YOUR CARD", I FINALLY TOLD HIM I HAD A CHECKING ACCOUNT BUT IT WAS'NT ACTIVE. HE THEN TOLD ME "OK THEN YOUR ARE APPROVED FOR OUR SPECIAL SHOPPING CARD" AND HE GAVE ME A DIFFRENT NUMBER WICH WAS 1-702-392- 7555. SO I CALLED IT AND I GOT AN ANSWERING MACHINE WITH A RECORDING SAYING.....WHAT GOOD THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR CCA SHOPPING NETWORK CARD, AND HOW THERE IS NEVER ANY INTREST, EVER. THEN IT TOLD ME MY CARD WAS ALREADY ACTIVATED, BUT THE FUNNY THING WAS I NEVER PUT MY CARD NUMBER IN SO HOW DID THEY KNOW MY CARD WAS ALREADY ACTIVATED BECAUSE THE OTHER TWO NUMBERS THAT WERE GIVEN TO ME DID ME NO GOOD AND DID NOT ACTIVATE MY CARD, THIS NUMBER HOWEVER WAS SUPPOSED, BUT DID'NT AND SAID THEY DID. SO TAKE MY ADDVICE, IF YOU GET ONE OF THE CARD'S IN THE MAIL, WHAT EVER YOU DO, DONT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. JUST WRITE WHAT HAPPENED TO IN THE FRAUD MAIL, AND TAKE CARE OF IT. THERE IS NO WEB SITE TO SHOP ON, THERE IS NO SUCH COMPANY PERIOD. SO DONT TAKE THE SITTING DOWN, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!! CATHERINE MORRISTOWN, Tennessee
