CDI Credit Management Paul Hughes Promised to collect a debt of over 9K in a month, they struggled to update me in 6 months! Sunderland, Other
We were unfortunate to have been left unpaid from a company we worked for a few years ago so looked to recover this debt & used CDI Credit Management as we could no longer find our debtors or get in contact with them.
They charged us a total of 587.50 & promised that they were confident our debt would be recovered within a month plus interest. A courier was sent to deliver our contract details & take the relievent information back to CDI.
The moment CDI Credit Management received our payment they became totally incompetent. They told us we were to receive monthly updates on our outstanding debt, we did not. In fact whenever we called them they had no information to give at all & we could not even speak to their so called legal advice team.
After a very frustrating few months dealing with CDI & getting nowhere I decided enough was enough. I called CDI & asked them to explain to me what service had they actually provided us with considering the charge was 587.50. They explained to me that although they had not managed to recover our debt they had also provided us with 25 credit searches for potential customers as part of our subscription.
We only went to CDI to recover our debt, not for credit searches on potential customers. Its states on my invoice from them that the 25 searches are F. O. C & we used none anyway so what did we pay for?! This company is disgraceful & I would not recommend anyone going to them to recover debts, they are as bad if not worse than your debtors. They hear how you have just been ripped off & then rip you again knowingly.
The funny thing is I got a call from a woman yesterday asking about an outstanding debt we had & they could help, before she could put me through to the slippery sales men I told her we had dealings with a company offering the same service & they did nothing but take more hard earned money. She then asked me what company it was so I told her CDI Credit Management & she hung up!
The people who work for this company know exactly what they are doing ripping off hard working genuine people in a vunerable place after they have just lost money from the debt they are trying to recover, how they are still trading is beyond me. If you pay for a service & do not receive it you should be entitled to a refund, not with these cowboys!
