I am a widow and owned my home. I needed home repairs done and Centex contacted me at word and said they could help. All they did was put me in debt. I could hardly make payments after I ended having mortgage of 26,934.00. Okay now get behind 15 months later they could refinance loan. I'm desperate now, don't want to lost my home. Refinanced ins. into loan to the tune of 2,329.31. I was laid off the next month. They did pay 1year ins. then I had to work 3 months to get any more payments made. At 54 and not in good health with unemployment checks done, can't find another job but babysitting whicch does pay

After finding a job for 5 months but again laid off. I now get forclouser notice and sheriff sale scheduled for March 5, 2004. Contack Centex find out I have ins. Ins. co paid 90 days 1521.00 Have 9 more months of ins left. was working with Centex when I could talk to them. Then 4 days before sheriff sale they said tha even with ins. payments it would not stop sale.

I had to file for bankruptcy and will lose home any way.

By the way refinanced loan was 38,000. with more settlement charges.

I know I won't save my house but sure would like to hurt that company where it hurts in the pocket book.

you being fired has been delightful to hear as it acknowledges what we are all going through

Thank you for acknowledging what we already know! Your comment about you being fired has been delightful to hear as it acknowledges what we are all going through. I have also learned that the broker on my deal left Centex over a dispute and I'm sure it was the same dispute as yours. I have posted on this site and will continue to post on this site until Centex is stopped. I will start negotiating with Centex over a rescission of my loan. They want to keep me quiet so I'm doing as much as I can before I'm forced to sign a release. There are 4 of us in contact with each other and trying to help one another. It would be great for our case if you can make a statement. [email protected] feel free to contact me there. I will keep you anonymous as long as I can but the Federal authorities need to know your information and it would greatly help all of us. Thanks again for confirming everything I already know, but it helps to hear of an ex-employee getting fired for something he/she wouldn't do to screw the rest of us.

I feel for all of those being affected by Centex these practices reported on this site are exactly what I expected to find. I no longer work for centex because I was fired for refusing to put people in bad situations, my concience wouldn't allow me to.I wish I had some kind of advise for you all all I can do is sympathise and wish you best of luck in fighting and hope that others will read this and stay away from centex loans.

Contact the Department of Real Estate in Dallas, TX, they must have one. Go online to Yahoo Groups predatory lending coalition as they can direct you as well. Nye is wonderful. Also, contact National Community Reinvestment Coalition, you can go online with them, contact National Association for Consumer Advocates (NACA) and they can help you with refinancing, then write a letter to HUD the RESPA Division at the following address: Director, Office of RESPA and Interstate Land Sales US Department of Housing and Urban Development Room 9154 451 7th Street, SW, Washington, DC 20410 Contact all your federal and state agencies regarding this loan, go to the media, anyone who is a consumer reporter and get them interested in this situation as you are with a predatory lender. I have currently done all this and NACA may refinance my loan. I have clear violations on my loan and you must to, but you need to determine what they are. E-mail [email protected] and see if he can help with the analysis. You need to speak to a mortgage auditor and have your loan audited. All this is what I have been doing and Centex has to take notice. There are too many being harmed by this mortgage lender and we all need to do the same things in order for everyone to take notice. Also go to the website MSFraud.org. They are a wealth of information as they have been going through the same problem, but different lenders. Oh, also contact the Federal Trade Commission as they are taking complaints. They don't help you but they gather the information to see if something on the federal end needs to be done. If enough of us do this, maybe they will take notice and help us. Hopefully all this works feel free to let me know how you're making out.

Possible Solution, Centex is in the practice of providing loans to people who cannot pay them back and that is called a "predatory lender" and is illegal!!!

After reading this, I have noticed that the sale of your house was for 3/5/04. This is now 4/8/04. If you still have your house, file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy which is a refinance of your debts and will possibly save your home. I and many others are in a similar position as you with Centex. I have contacted a mortgage auditor in my state (Mass.) and the U.S. Attorney's office in Boston, MA (a contact I acquired from people on the internet). File a complaint with your AG's offce and go to the media. This may not stop the sale of your house, but the Chapter 13 bankruptcy will. I sympathasize with you as I am in a similar position except that I have not been served with the foreclosure notice yet. It seems that Centex is in the practice of providing loans to people who cannot pay them back and that is called a "predatory lender" and is illegal!!! There are many class action suits regarding mortgage lenders and I am currently trying to make the authorities aware of what Centex Home Equity is doing to all of us. Speak with an attorney now if you haven't already.
