If you are reading this, you are probably contemplating using Century Diamonds.  I am about to save you a lot of time, stop now, and find another retailer!  I decided to try Century, despite the bad reviews online, and order a pair of diamond stud earrings for my wife for Christmas.  The order was placed on 12/12, and I paid extra to "guarantee" it would arrive by Christmas.  All was fine until about 12/20 when I saw that the tracking info had changed and the package was now due to arrive on 12/27??  Not good.  That's where the fun began, calling into their customer service department.  I was told that there was a problem with UPS, it was something that affected many of their customers, and possibly others.  Fine, I understand things like that happen this time of year.  All they needed to do was place the order again, same product, overnight it and I would refuse acceptance of the original package.  Easy, right?  

Except they expected me to pay the $79 overnight fee?  Umm, what's that?  Why should I have to pay for it?  My order confirmation stated clearly that delivery was guaranteed by 12/24/16??  I didn't choose to use UPS, they did, therefore, they should be paying to make it right for their brand spanking new customer, not ask me to pay to overnight it.  Well, this went back and forth with a rep who clearly was not able to understand or speak the language all too well.  I asked for a supervisor, and it was just more of the same.  They made no sense and were just talking in circles, contradicting what they had just said, etc.  They were clearly in the weeds.  I was told to allow her to look further into it, don't worry she said, I'll call you back.  I waited 6 hours, and called back for her.  She was on the phone, but was told she will call me right back.  Another hour goes by, no call.  I call again, ask for manager, and basically get the same run around.

 She tells me she will call me back, I am still waiting for that call back!  I was forced to go to a store in my area, pay much more for what is probably a better product, but was treated as a valued customer.  Century may have great prices, but their customer service is a prime example of what never to do to a customer.  Now, I am just hoping that they refund the original in a timely fashion.  NEVER use this company, you'll regret it.
