I had for years a package bundle deal with Directv and Centurylink for TV Internet and Phone Services
Centurylink made it very difficult to cancel my account and change service providers.
First they have a mandatory online setup for you to discontinue services. Once the Bundle discounts
are gone the regular prices kick in, which go up every month. When I had a medical emergency and was
hospitalized, I asked Centurylink to cancel my account with them and sent them the last payment.
It is mandatory to Chat online with their service department to close your internet and phone account.
They tried to give coupons to keep you as a long time faithful customer, but the prices stay very high.
When I transferred my phone and internet services over to Xfinity. my phone could not receive calls for
three weeks, but I could call out. So I had concerned people coming over to check on me, since I was still
very seriously ill at home from the hospital. My phone was not functioning, until I called Xfinity. Xfinity
fixed the problem right away. They told me that Centurylink refused to give them my correct phone
information to transfer my account and keep my same number. So Centurylink literally sabotages your
phone lines to keep you on their system so they can charge you for another month, while you are paying
the new service provider for that month already. They endanger the lives of people they know were in the
hospital and needed their phone in case of emergency. They actually knew my medical condition as well.
Centurylink and Directv are very dishonest companies. Directv just keeps charging as they take channels
away until there are fewer channels available than free Broadcast channels. These two companies will soon
drown together with Wells Fargo for their dishonest business practices. These companies are dishonest because
once they have a longtime faithful customer's trust, then they practice this dishonest behaviour until they
get caught. Be warry of these companies. The Government will not protect you because they are lining their
pockets with the steady flow of tax money. These companies are protected by the government from
any prosecutions, they just pay their little small fines and open shop on someone new the next day.
I have noticed this pattern for fifteen years, and can show the recepts and documents and payment stubs.
