Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

About seven months ago I attempted to cash a payroll check from a company I had been employed with for over 45 years. I well know, well respected multi-million dollar corporation based in Southern California. I was declined by Certegy Check Services.

I had only attempted to cash my payroll check at a Vcom machine while visiting a 7-11 store with my friend who suggested I try it. Well, I got TD'ed but he got his slurpee. A month later, I found myself being threatened by Certegy via phone claiming I had gave the company they represented a bad payroll check. They were so rude to me.... I became so insulted that I told the gentleman on the phone..."Be at your job a few weeks from now and watch your Executives tremble with fear." I point blank decided I am going to Blast those fools!. So after a lot of research...an LA County assistant district attorney friend, the assistance of him and Experian and TransUnion, along with an inside employee's (same 7-11) help, and a printer who printed a MICR magnetic ink encoded payroll check from; yes you may have guessed, THE LA County District Attorney's Office, the State of California, that simply was encoded with 0's all across all sectors at the bottom of the check. A check for the amount of $711, (clever huh?) was denied, with an explanation of..."On information provided by Certegy Check Serv. Inc., Tampa Florida. The DA, printer, store employee, a FORMER employee of Certegy, my personal attorney, a private investigator, and a local newspaper reporter were ALL present to witness the transaction and video tape the events along with RECORDING it all on tape! It will all be settled in court VERY SOON....then a CLASS ACTION law suit will follow. CERTEGY THAT you $%^#&* rip offs! I would like to thank all of you whom have made complaints for me to read over the past several months...YOU ALL were my inspiration. Southland Corporation (7-11) the money laundering front corporation for Indian funding to buy weapons to use against Pakistan.....has personally given me an apology...which I said I can NOT accept because I felt like I would be letting all of YOU out there down! Anyways.... I plan to stand outside that 7-11 store with a slurpee in hand and a towel around my head (retired now), until CERTEGY CHECK SERVICES, DEBT COLLECTIONS CCS, and all associated with that RIP OFF front is punished to the fullest extent of the law. Thank you my FRIENDS!

God Bless

John, LA County, California

I have been reading these complaints about this company and I find them very useful because I have been thru this same thing with this company.  Now Steve, I have been noticing that you have been questioning the integrity of the consumers of why they don't have a checking account.  I thought this was a free country where we can choose whether or not we want to give the bank our money so if you know something different, feel free to rebuttal.  It is not true what you said about debit cards being more safer that checks because my account has been hacked into several times with the use of a debit card and none with a check.  If it was bad to write a check, they wouldn't still be making them.

Steve you are either an employee or the owner but which ever is correct, learn your facts before you start spewing out accusations.  These consumers have a legitimate reason to complain just like any othr American in this country without the need of you hassling them trying to create a war of intelligence by the way you will lose.

This is one of the most absurd posts I have ever read.

WHY would you even need to "cash" a payroll check? You stated you have been on this job for over 45 years. In this time you never set up direct deposit??

Lets see, 45+18=63.

By my math, you are 63 years old and have the need to "cash" a payroll check at a 7-11? Are you that broke after 45 years of working the same job?

You need new "friends". Obviously.

Get direct deposit. Problem solved.

And, I'm sure that the executives at Certegy will "tremble with fear". What a joke.
