It started off when I looked at a full size Montero that was advertised as being on sale in the newspaper. We test drove it one day, went in that evening to negotiate with the sales person, whom we happen to know.

We told him it had hail damage on the roof, a few dings, missing some items inside the suv, and the alignment was off. So we started negotiating and when he told us what they would take off and the interest rate we would be getting, we thought it to be a pretty good deal.

Well, apparently they were working off other sales prices. Not the one that was advertised, they told us that was another vehicle. So here we thought we had negotiated an approximate $1500 off the sales price, when actually it was only $500.

And I know my husband would NEVER agree to buy this vehicle with only $500 off the sticker price with the hail damage and dings, etc.

Then they have promised to come pick it up, fix the problems, fix the alignment, change the oil, wash and fill it up. We call, talk to them, they say they will be here shortly but they NEVER show up.

I've had it with car salesmen. I could never run my business in the manner. When I told the Mitsubishi Customer Service woman all this, we received a call from the Manager and they just offered to give us our money back! In retrospect, we should have taken them up on their offer and bought from another dealership.

Kelle I am going to provide you with some inside info about the auto industry. What I am going to tell you is info that your newspaper would NEVER tell it's readers, and I can prove it. First I must tell you and all who read this, YOU NEVER buy a car from the same "LOT SHARK" twice, YOU NEVER buy a car from someone you THINK you know. To get the best car deal you have to be willing to grind on the price even if you piss off the "LOT SHARK" Let's face it you did not go to the car dealer to make friends, you went there to buy a car and try to save some money. I tell people all the time NEVER buy from someone you know, if you do, they will bend you over because they have you in your comfort zone. In other words, you like them. Liking your "LOT SHARK" will kill your negotiating ability. I would like to show you how a bad car dealer's F&I clowns can Rip Off Car buyers. After she called up her bank and asked for a copy of all documentation that the dealer sent to the bank, She then found that the dealer did NOT tell the bank the truth about her TRUE income nor did the car dealer tell the truth on her husband's income. I personally have had clear copies of this car buyers documents sent to be by one of my fellow Advocates. I know what I am talking about.
