Chapel Sales Chapel Sales is a running a Rip-Off, Scam & Fraud!! Mt. Laurel New Jersey
On May 9, 2006 I ordered 2 magazine subscriptions from Chapel Sales, Los Angeles Magazine (36 issues for $24) Wine Enthusiast (28 issues for $28), for a total of $59 inc. service fee. My order/receipt number is K461573. This was sold to me by a Nia'Starra Conley as a fundraiser for the "national youth program." I contacted the company on Sept. 8, 2006 by email, 16 weeks after placing my order as I had not received a single issue of either magazine.
On Sept. 15, Lakisha with Chapel Sales informed me via email that my order cleared on June 2, 2006 and I would need to wait 16 weeks for deliver. ALso, she noted that no order for LA Magazine was placed even though my receipt shows that I ordered it.
On Oct. 5, over 20 weeks after placing my order (over 18 weeks since I was told my order cleared) I contacted Chapel Sales again by email, as I had not received a single issue of either magazine. I asked for an immediate refund and as of today, Jan. 22, 2007 have received neither a refund nor a single issue of either magazine.
On Oct. 13, Lakisha responded in an email saying that they would send the publisher a No Service complaint and to allow ANOTHER 4-8 weeks for it to be resolved. To which I immediately responded in email, that it was not sufficient and that I wanted an immediate refund. I have not heard anything since.
Finally on January 22, 2007, I contacted both Los Angeles Magazine and Wine Spectator Magazine. At Wine Spectator Magazine, I spoke with Holly in Customer Service and was told there is nothing for our Name and Address since 2002.
At Los Angeles Magazine, I spoke with Mallory in Customer Service and was also told no subscription exists for my Name and Address.
Chapel Sales is obviously running a scam and a fraud. I have filed complaints with the FTC, Better Business Bureau in California & New Jersey, US Postal Service, California Attorney General's Office and the New Jersey Attorney General's Office. This company must be stopped!
