Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I currently have a auto loan through Chase Auto Finance, and i am only one payment behind and they call my house everyday  wanting a payment, due to the economy i was one of the unlucky people that lost their jobs, i have talked to them and they keep telling me that my account is in collections for review and that if i don't make the payment they will take the car, They are rude when the call, telling me it is in my best interest to make payment today, they are always asking why the payment is late and the insurance is on the car, What concern is it of theirs as to way the payment is late???? They are very unprofessional and i want them to stop calling everyday  5 or 6 times a day. When they are asking why the payment is late they ask all other types of questions. I used to be in customer services and we could not ask personal questions about their business. This is very rude practice and they need to be reported

What did you expect?

Sara,

Being "only" one month behind is still being behind on your payments. Of course the bank is going to try and collect their money from you. Are you really surprised by this?

Yes, the economy is rough right now but that doesn't absolve any of us from making our car payments per the agreements that we made with our lenders. Are you aware that they are trying to work with you? They would have been well within their rights to have simply repossess the car by now.

The good news is that the bank doesn't really want your car, they only want the payment that agreed to make. That means going out there and finding some paying work, even if it means a job that you really don't want to do. There are jobs out there.

In the future, if you know that you're going to be late, call the lender before the payment due date and explain the situation to them. They will work with you if you're willing to work with them.

You Expect Them To Do What?

Sara:

You signed a contract to make each and every payment on time.  In return, they loaned you the money to buy the car.  You failed to make a payment and they call you.  Exactly what do you expect them to do?  You lost your job and that's regretable.  What is step 2, Sara?  You get another job.  You get a weekend job, you work nights.  You may need to take a job that get's your hands dirty or requires you to work all night.  Maybe loading or unloading trucks, stocking shelves, washing dishes, cutting grass, whatever it takes to get money in.  Don't tell me there are no jobs.  You have financial responsibilities which need to be met.  When one door is closed, a mature person opens another.
