Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We received substantial damage to our home from a hail storm on April 11, 2016.  Our insurance company, (Allstate) was contacted and they send a claim adjuster to inspect the damage.  He explained they would be sending me a check for the damage and then asked me who my mortgage company was.  When I told him Chase, he looked saddened and said you better contact them immediately and said good luck ever getting your claim money back from them!  I had no idea what he was talking about, so contacted CHASE and found that sure enough, I had to take the insurance claim check to them and sign it over to them.  The lady at the local CHASE BANK branch then gave me a large stack of documents and said I would find the information on how to reclaim my funds and documents that would have to be filled-out and send in.

Sure enough, we found out that CHASE uses a 3rd party insurance claim processor called "INSURANCECLAIMCHECK.COM"to process the claims.  What I have found is that they will lie to you, tell you they are CHASE even when they are not and find any and all excuses to keep you from getting access to your funds.  I called CHASE and complained and the said they were assigning someone to work on my claim.  I received a call from "Alexis" who said she was with CHASE and that she was going to expedite my claim for me.  What I later found out was she actually was a INSURANCECLAIMCHECK.COM employee and did not actually work for CHASE.

When I started discussing repairs with local contractors, when they found out I had a mortgage with CHASE they said they didn't want to give me a quote because they said CHASE was one of the worst when it came to getting payments and they all knew about INSURANCECLAIMCHECK.COM and didn't want to be involved given their past history.  (This was all news to me!)

It is now June and still have not been able to secure my funds from either CHASE or INSURANCECLAIMCHECK.COM...have filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General and talking to one of the local TV station's consumer affairs reporters. Not sure what I will have to do to get my money short of hiring an attorney and filing a lawsuit.  Also recently found out my neighbor also has CHASE and he cannot get his insurance claim money from them either.  He gave up trying and is funding his repairs out of pocket in hopes of getting refunded later.  I am retired and cannot afford to do the same.

Any suggestions and/or assistance would be appreciated!

I had a flood inMay 2016.  Serve Pro came in immediately and mitigated my flood damage.  Their bill was fully approved both by my flood adjuster and by my insurance company.  Chase is my mortgage I have requested over 5 times for them to pay this bill and I keep getting "we are researching this request letters" and they are denying payment because I didn't get an estimate.  It is a stall tactic to keep my money.  I was also told that because I started the repairs myself (my house was uninhabitable in May I had no hotel on my ins. and did not get my flood check until Sept) I had to finish 100% before Chase would give my any money.  I am a single mother, I can't fix my house without this money.  This should be illegal, I would also like feedback on what alll of us who have our disaster money held hostage by Chase can do.
