My daughter, at age 10 lost *all* of her beautiful hair to this supposedly "natural", "gentle" Wen Cleansing Conditioner. (Sweet Almond Mint) After first use she began to shed rapidly. We didn't connect it to the product.  On susequent usage, however, hair loss was instant and on contact.  She even lost her brows and lashes over the next few weeks. (it was rinsed into her bath, so even though we didn't use much, it was a lot of exposure.) I even took her out of school because of her hair loss.

No advice, acknowledgment or anything from the company. They are mean, nasty, and unhelpful. They routinely lie to customers saying that they never heard of hair loss from their product, they must have a medical condition, try the "Cucumber Aloe" Wen formula they say. They will do anything to get people off the phone (preferably after an additional purchase) so as not to send them to the adverse event department. They didn't take my complaint the first time I called.  Just pretended to take the lot number and told me I should throw it away if I don't hear from anyone. So, I believe there are 10-100 people for every one of the 21,000 complaints they owned up to! Even if you don't lose hair at first, doesn't mean you won't. Some can use it for weeks, months or years before they react, and once they do, the damage may be permanent. It is not worth the risk. There are plenty of cheaper, safer products available!

We thought this would be one time hair loss, but for my sensitive daughter, it has caused a much bigger problem, and nearly 3 years later, she still has not fully recovered and may never.

We are advocating for an update to our cosmetics laws which have not been updated since 1938! Here are links to her story on video.  Please feel free to share her story.

My channel also has Wen and my daughter being discussed in a senate committee hearing. The FDA has no authority to issue a recall on personal care/cosmetic products, so this company is allowed to harm with impunity. They admitted to 21,000 to the FDA, and far more in court documents. The FDA has now received 3000+ reports directly to the agency, when they typically receive 300-400 reports a year for the *entire industry!*
