I used this company a couple of years back and all of my St. Augustine grass burned up in patches...it was awful. Being new to the whole lawn care service scene, I immediately canceled the service and had my lawn re-sodded.

After a couple years, I decided to try it again, after my husband and I seeded our lawn with new Bermuda grass seed and grew our selves a fabulous lawn, and after talking to neighbors that said they have not had a problem with the company lately and recommended we try them again. So reluctantly I did so.

We still had a section of grass that was still St. Augustine, and I made the company aware of the Bermuda before then even started the services. They assured me that it would not hurt the Bermuda grass at all. In the Fall of 2003, all of the grass started to turn brown, just as it usually does every year about that time, but, when every thing started turning green again in Spring 2004, the Bermuda grass did nothing and the St. Augustine was lovely and green.

The Bermuda was like straw and covered with weeds. I called and called...finally, a so called manager called my husband and told him, "Oh, it just takes longer for Bermuda grass to come back that's all." Yeah, right, and we are complete idiots and can't tell dead grass from live grass. I have yet to get a manager to call me back or come out to my house to even look at the damages. Needless to say, I have canceled with them again! This time they won't be getting another chance to kill my lawn. I want my lawn re-sodded, and this time I don't want to be the one to pay for it!

Corporate will tell them to do what ever it takes

#2Consumer Suggestion

Fri, April 16, 2004

I saw this and wanted to let you know if you call the corporate of TruGreen or go to their website www.srvicemaster.com and file a complaint with corporate, they will then contact your local TruGreen Branch and get this matter resolved. A manager should have called you back with 24 hours of your complaint. Corporate will tell them to do what ever it takes to make you, the customer happy and will probably replace your lawn in the areas that did not come back. I've been through this before and that is what I had to do to get it done and got a year's worth of free service to boot. Have not had a problem since. They will make you happy what ever it takes. Good Luck!
