I wanted to let you know that this contractor you referred to me has basically screwed me. They quoted on the job, came out once to do the work and did not complete it. I then contacted them to come back and finish the work and the finally came back. Once again they did not complete the job.

They started calling wanting payment and sending a statement with interest because the payment had not been made. The job was not done and that is why I told them I had not sent the payment.

The reason I had called them in the first place was I had a leak in the roof and there was a big indention in my roof and they never fixed the one item that caused me to call them in the

first place.

Finally I told them (Stewart) that I would pay if he would

commit to me that it would be finished. I paid, they never showed up. I called again, he promised again, they never showed up. I called again for a third time and same story.

I can assure you that if this is the type of people you are associating with you will have a tough time surviving. I run the U.S. operations for a large wholesale building products company and had thought about utilizing you in our contractor events but think that it might not be a good association.

I personally finished the project myself.

In further investigation we have located the file for Mr. Steve Belken. The following information was in our files.

Contract for work was signed on 12/03/01.

Work was completed on 12/12/01.

Invoice was mailed 12/12/01.

Homeowner called in on 12/17/01 with complaint that decking was not replaced.

Repairman went out and inspected, completed the decking per contract specs on 12/20/01.

Late fees were added on 01/14/01.

Payment was received on 01/16/01, late fees were deleted.

As of todays date 10/07/02 Mr. Belken has not called back to the office for any reason.

According to Mr. Belken's letter he called several times, I assume that he must have been calling Stuart personally and not the office because every call relating to a problem on a job is documented, and as I stated above, we have no record of hearing from Mr. Belken in the office since he called to report the original problem.

I do find it however curious that the homeowner waited for over a year to voice his complaints in this forum.

If Mr. Belken would care to call the office and ask to talk to me personally, Diane, I would gladly take his call and see if we could come to an agreement that would be to his satifaction.

We have been in business since 1983 and have quite a large customer base, and as you know and could expect, we are not able to please everyone all of the time, but we do try our best and try to any problems that arise to mutual satifaction.

I would appreciate a timely response.

First Off. I can personally guarantee that nothing in "Steve's" report is valid. I have been associated with Christian Brothers Roofing for 4+ years and I personally handle every job that passes through this company. We take pride in our customer service and if Steve would have called in his problem would have been sloved. If steve would like to provide his contact information or if he would like to contact me, we can clear up this problem.
