It is there common practice to do what they did to you. I used to repossess vehicles for them. I dont know about the laws in your state but In Texas where I worked, once the vehicle is repossesed it goes to a storage lot from there you are able to come pick up your personal affects provided they are not mounted in the vehicle, such as radios, cd players , amps , speakers and such. The only way you might not be able to pick the vehicle would be If you ignored calls or hid the vehicle just to keep it. Then they might CALL IN the entire note as due imediately and in full because they consider the loan at risk. I am in no way saying it is right but thats how they work. As far as the vehicle being sold they should have had to wait thirty days for you to come up with the funds and the money they add to it for the repossession and that is a set fee by them dont let them lie to you and tell you it's not. What you need to do is ask them where the vehicle was stored at , That is most likely where your personal affects are at. you might only have so many days to collect them or then the stuff is considered abandoned and become the property of who ever in the company wants it. If it hasnt already, there are some shady repo companies out there . Hope you get your stuff and sorry to hear about your story hope I helped a little
