CIC Credit Monitoring ripoff, charged 2 months after cancellation, Mark of Huntington Beach California, read this Orange California
I signed up for the "free" credit report with a 30 day free trial. I cancelled within the 30 days of signing up. I did get my credit report finding addresses on there I had never even been.
My family and I went to St. Louis over the weekend and needed a motel room. I tried to pay with my credit card and it was denied, not knowing why. Luckily, my wife had some cash put back in her wallet that was to go toward some bills that were coming up since we couldn't use out of town check to cover the room.
I just received a credit card statement today saying that CIC Credit Monitoring took $79.95 off of my credit card on June 5th, about 2 months after cancelling my membership.
Mark of Huntington Beach, Ca, you need to get real, get in touch, and get a clue. You're telling these people it is their own fault that this company is ripping people off. Explain the situation of cancelling and getting charged for it months later. Is that our fault too??? Obviously you weren't reading the complaints. These people have tried to call and resolve the problem, and nothing was done about it. Some have even billed for a 2nd time a year later. In my opinion, you're just as bad as this rip-off company.

Refund, received my request to cancel

I just recieved an email today saying that they received my request to cancel my trial and they are in the process of working on it. Funny that they sent it after I called and told them I want my money back that they took off my credit card without my authorization 2 months after cancelling. This is the first I have heard from them since the day I decided to try the "free" trial. If all my money isn't credited back, they WILL hear from me again
