BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THEM.KEEP RECORDS OF ALL PHONE CALLS, LETTERS ETC. THEY WILL LIE, FORGE DOCUMENTS OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT THEY THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH.

I am insured by cigna insurance. I am disabled (covered by another company)

My doctor requested a motorized scooter for me. I have severe asthma, sleep apnea, severe arthritis, and numerous other problems. I cannot walk more than 25 feet. All of the documentation was sent to Cigna verifying the urgency of providing a scooter for me. At first they told me I had been approved for a scooter .Then 1 hour later when the medical supply house called they said no they had made a mistake. I called the president's office, and was told they were sorry that They could give me no reason as to who overturned the original decision or why??

I called the Vice President in charge of the medical dept and he also couldn't provide any explanation for what happened.So after many phone calls they finally agreed to do a peer to peer review( which is done over the phone)WHAT A JOKE!!!!!

They set up an appointment to speak to my doctor and when I called to check they said my doctor wasn't there when they called. My doctor took an hour of her day,to speak to Cigna and they never ever tried to call.

So they were denying my request again. At this point this has been going on for over 2 months. WRONG.They never called my doctor and they fradulently altered my records to indicate that they had actually tried to call her.

When I confronted them with this information again they said it must be a terrible mistake. Again no one knew who or how this happened.

At this point this has been going on for over 2 months.

They have committed numerous acts of fraud to avoid honoring a legitimate claim. The fax number that I have enclosed belongs to the president Mr. Hanway. If you are having problems with them file a complaint with the insurance department as I have. They are the worst. Calling the presidents office does no good. this company only cares about the bottom line.
