I didn't have a plan for text messages - I was paying per message. I didn't send very many - mostly I just got them from my roommate - so I didn't want to pay a huge fee per month that I wouldn't use. When I called Cingular to ask about the fees, they told me that if I wasn't on a plan I would have to pay for each text message SENT and RECEIVED. They're the ones who said it, not me. I did have text messaging disabled & this took care of that particular problem.

I would be paying for both messages sent AND messages received! thats a lie 100% becuase i pay 7.99 a month for 1000 text messages. i hever had to pay for incoming and out going. i do not see how this is? unless you did not have text messaging enabled and then i could see the charges for each one.
