Circuit City on South Westnedge is a very shady bunch of con artists and thieves.

They not only ripped me off by selling 3 bad computers but also sold me and extended warranty that is like pulling teeth to get them to honor it!

I have been lied to over and over and been shifted from one long distance call to another, and from department to department where I always find someone else who will pass the buck.

I have a recorded message from Adam on my answering machine where he is asking me to come back to the store to sign permission to repair my computer. This was 9 days after they had ME BRING IT TO THE STORE MYSELF!!! What happened to the in home service I paid for!!!

They also lied to me and said it had been sent out and would be back in a couple days when I knew for a fact it was still sitting in the back room and the next truck was not leaving until the next day. The kid was floored when I confronted him with his lie.

The Manager then had me take it back home so a technicion could call me at 4:30 and walk me through on screen. ONCE AGAIN I told her there was no power to the unit and she told me to take it home and do it anyway.

The tech never called although when I called at 9:30 he claimed he did and got my fax machine. I do not even own a fax machine so once again I was lied to. I have the names and numbers of these people.

He tried to get me to power up the machine which was not possible and then tried to get me to open it up and service it myself. I did not pay for an extended warranty to do my own repairs.

I have a petition going around work at Pharmacia right now with over 100 signatures already from people who will NEVER shop at Circuit City again...I plan on getting many more as I spread the word of your lack of integrity to everyone I pass.

Sometimes the PC warranty repairs are a pain

So many things can go wrong with computers, a lot of which is software. As for the service, you have 2 options (if you have the warranty): 1. Take it to the store and send it out, usually 2 weeks (from my experience). 2. Call the warranty provider (some division of GE), where they try and walk you through things over the phone, and if they can't fix, they'll send someone out to your home. Option 2 does take the most time, as sitting there on hold can be quite lengthy, but every problem I have ever had has been fixed to my satisfaction. This includes replacing 4 19" monitors that went bad. I am not sure what 'long distance' number you are calling, as their CSP one is toll free. Are you sure you are calling the correct warranty provider? Talk to a manager, find out exactly who to call, and I am sure the problem will get fixed. Just be patient, and follow through with their instructions.
