On 11/23/07 I ordered 2 DVDs from Circuit City online with an estimated shipping date of 11/27/07 and estimated delivery of 12/04/07. On 12/06/07 I called Circuit City's customer service because my order had not arrived. The customer service rep. told me that there had been a problem noted with my order and it had never been shipped. The rep. canceled the order and promised an immediate refund.

On 12/12/07 I called back because I had not yet had the refund credited to my bank account. I was told that the refund could take 7-10 days from 12/06 to go thru.

On 12/16 I called back again because of still no refund. I was told refunds could take 7-14 business days and I should recieve a refund by 12/27/07.

On 12/31/07 I called back yet again because, of course, still no refund. I was promised a refund in 24-72 hours.

On 1/06/08 I called yet again and was told that no one could help me today, call back Monday.

On 1/07/08 I called again. I was told that Cicuit City could not refund my money and I should seek a refund from the manufacturer.

The latest word from Circuit City is that the accounting department is backlogged and that is what is delaying the refund. Strange that they weren't so backlogged when they charged my card for an order they never sent out.
