You spent lots of money in Circuit City and had one string of bad experiences... hey we have all been there and we know how you feel don't let one bad experience out weight the many good experiences you obviously had in our stores. Just in case we missed something. A Few details you may have left out...(maybe, maybe not) first how old was your product if it was outside of our 30 day return policy and its an expensive item (all the items you mentioned are high quality expensive items) we are not supposed to deal with these issues its up to the manufacturer for the length of their warranty. But in all fairness we usually extend the return policy to 45 days and maybe longer on inexpensive items. Now if you did have the service plan on the products we have to follow certain procedures, like it or not its because of other consumers who make us have these policies. Not because we just want to be mean to you. If we didn't follow guidelines for returning, exchanging, or repairing products then we would really not be able to help you because we would be out of business because of fraud and theft. "My husband returned them and graciously the sales rep. replace them with two new ones." Seems like good customer service to me lets move on. NEVER NEVER NEVER wait 2 months to report a problem... as soon as the problem begins to happen call the Sales person who sold you the product (first initial and Last name print on receipt) and inform them, write down date time and the person you spoke with. Even if you cannot make it into the store for a few days or even weeks. You just look like a fool when you try to explain that the unit has just been sitting around broken for months at a time (gives us the empression you don't care you just have an old unit you are tyring to get a new one, or money out of it) If you call we have no excuses or misconceptions and are already expecting you. As far as employees treating you like crap my advice to you is to get their names and keep going higher and higher until you find someone that will help you.. this will usually be the store manager. If one manager doesn't help you there are usually at least 2 there at all times ask to speak with the other manager. Service Plan, Service Plan, Service Plan yeah we might have to send it off but better to send it off and get it repaired then to not have a service plan and the MFG warranty expire and you have to throw $5,000 away!!! If you broke it of course we won't fix it if you buy a car and the same day wreck it will the dealer take it back of course not... If it was Open Box thats the chance you take and thats why its maked down so low... don't get me wrong you can return it in 30 days if you are not satisfied. As far as broken items, if I sold broken items or if these problems you mention were frequent (not that yours didn't happen, i'm sorry you had a bad experience) but I would not be making the money i'm making if I sold broken products. Last piece of advice... Get to know a Sales Counselor who plans to make Circuit City a career and return to him every time you need something this will make him loyal to you and you will always get the same customer service from them and they will get to know your needs making it easier to get what you need. thank you
