Circuit City Bogus Performance Guarantee consumer fraud ripoff Williston Vermont
After three returns on a Harman Kardon reciever I was expecting to recieve a replacement one as the plan states but since nothing was found on the first trip, low rear volumn levels they stated the final was only two problems. The second time in for repairs also fixed the first issue. I was given my $$$s back less the 9 months of service plan and had to purchase replacement unit.
After argueing with the store people I decided to do the deal and take it up with Corp CC. After many e-mails with less then satifactory responses I was told the replacement does not cover Open Box Buys. I indicated the the sales person sold me the plan as complete and the brochure made no reference to the exception. I was then told that it only applies to the first year of ownership, which I responded that it was only 9 months into the plan and attached a scanned copy of my brochure which states the No Lemon Protction is during the life of the plan. I told the individual to learn her products and requested the e-mail of the CEO.
I have yet to recieve a response to that e-mail or the other 3 I have sent since. I have spent several thousand dollars at CC since it opened here but will never do it again they are ripoffs, cheats, and con artist!
