About 2 years ago i refinanced with a company called Citifinancial Mortgage. Everything was fine till financial situations changed in the house and I fell behind on my payments. My payments are due on the 14th of every month. I was behind 2 payments but I made sure every payment was made before the 14th of the month.

I called them in March 2005 when I recieved my income tax to catch up all the payments. Then the next month my payday was just after the 14th and thats when the phone calls started with them telling me I was 2 months behind again. So when I went to send them a payment they would not except it. They told me I would have to make 2 payments in order for them too take it. On July 30 they called and left a message for me to call them before 3 o"clock or else. So I called them back before 3 and ask the guy what was so important. He said he needed me to pay 2 house payments by the first oh August or they would start foreclosure on my home. He said he needed me to do a check by phone that day before 6 o"clock. The total amount was 1101.42 I told that guy I did not have that kind of money and told him I would have the money on the 5th when i got paid. He said that would be too late so I ask why because my payments are due the 14th. He then transfers me to a superviser named Terri so I asked her why cause my payments are due the 14th. She said after you miss one payment your due date is on the 1 of every month.

So I told her I would call her back when I could see what I could come up with. I called back about an hour later after borrowing the money from a friend. Then she told me i was one payment behind. So on September 1 I called to make my payment and was told they need 2 payments because I will be 3 payments behind on September 14th. I got mad and said you people told me my payments were due on the 1 and she said they were due on the 14th. And that would make me 3 payments behind. I told her i have a house payment right now for you and she said she would not take it unless it was 2 payments. Thats when I said this is bull and I think I need a lawyer. So she said she would take the payment only if i post dated a check for the 16th of September. So I did post dated a check for them because I fear I"m gonna lose my house. So now I fear that on the 1 and 14th of October they are gonna want 2 payments or take my house. I can"t keep giving them 2 payments a month Because I only get paid twice a month.

I have to have money to pay my other bills. Someone please help because how can they do that? I am afraid for my home. I am trying to do what they ask but how can you when the dates always change and they call everyday threatening you. I think I need a lawyer to end it.

I am not one to side with Citifinancial because I worked for them for over 6 years and I'm fully aware of some of their business practices but as far as your complain is concerned I will need to remind you that your payments were originally due on or before the 14th of each month and you failed to honor that obligation. The contract specifically required you to make contact with Citifinancial if you were unable to make a payment but the due date. I KNOW THAT THIS IS A CONDITION OF YOUR CONTRACT BECAUSE I PERSONALLY CLOSED OVER 1000 LOANS AND I KNOW THE WORDING OF THEIR STANDARD SECURITY AGREEMENTS. My experience dealing with customers at Citifinancial is this: Citifinancial customers are loan shark bait. What do I mean by that you may ask? Well, Citifinancial, just like American General and Washington Mutual and HFC are nothing more thnt legal loan sharks. They lend money to people with horrible credit at horrible terms and do it out of a nice clean well decorated office and a nice sign out front. These are people who seldom if ever read a d**n thing that they sign, then complain about it later. Late charges are part of the bottom line as well as high points and other things like the overpriced "credit life" and "credit disabilty" insurance that they slip into the contract without your knowledge. Most of the customers I dealt with paid late every single month. Most states allow Citifinancial to charge 5% of the payment or a minimum of $15 each time you are 10 days late on your payment. Your mortgage payment was late. You failed to call and make an arrangement, fell behind, then you actually lost track of what and when you paid last. You became so late that you were confused and needed to ask them where you stood. You probably came very close to foreclosure if they refused to take a single payment from you. The best thing for you to do at this point is not hire a lawyer and save your money. Lawyers don't give a d**n about you and will screw things up even more. Call your branch and ask to speak with the branch manager. Ask the BM if you can make an appointment to come into the office to speak with him or her. Get a copy of the total transaction history on your loan, then take it home and study it. I guarantee that Citifinancial will not steal your money and they will be honest with you in regards to your payments. They make plenty of money in other ways like their high interest rates, hidden costs, high upfront points, late charges, origination fees and so on.

By all means, if you can afford a lawyer it may be your only chance to keep your home

Citigroup is involved in one major scam after another. Just search google for citi+enron or citi+worldcom. Both of those names are familiar, right? How do you think these major scams get started? Hell, anyone can tell you that the country bumpkins from enron or worldcom aren't smart enough to start these giant scams on their own. Without citigroup behind it, none of these crooked schemes would ever happen. Businessweek magazine had a recent article that showed citi was running a ponzi scheme in the enron scandal. If they cheated enron, what chance does a little homeowner have against them? I have to be honest with you. You're in a very bad situation. If only you got a mortgage from an honest company, none of this would be happening now. But, I guess it's too late for that now. You know, you'd have to find one hell of a tough lawyer. Maybe a mafia lawyer or something. John Gotti's old attorney. Because, who else is going to have a chance against a giant scam like citigroup? They have billions of dollars to spend trying to force you out of your home. How can you win against something like that? Hell, you'd have a better chance against hurricane Katrina. About all you can do is pay them what ever they demand and hope for the best. Maybe you can explain that you have small children to care for. But, with citi, I don't think any of that would really matter one bit. People have just got to learn that they need to get a mortgage with any other company except citi. Once you let them into your life, they will do the same thing to you that they did to enron. Major fraud. Your situation looks like another one of citi's accounting scams. I wish there was some answer that would make all this go away for you. But, with a company like citi, that's impossible. They're like a cancer, eating away at you, growing larger every day. Feeding off of the money from all Americans. Personally, I don't know if you're religious or not. If so, you may want to get the members of your church involved. Explain to them that you're a single mother who is in danger of having her home taken away by a citi accounting scam. Tell them about this site. That will do two things. The church members may be able to take up a collection to help you pay the crooks the money they are trying to cheat you out of. And, it will let the decent people of the church know that they must learn to avoid this crooked company at all costs. There are millions of innocent people out there carrying around these citi credit cards. Some of your church members may have some of the mortgages too. People need to wake up and learn about these scams because they will be cheated next. It's up to people like you to warn them. I wish you all the luck in the world. I know you will need it. Tonight, say a prayer asking for God's help to keep these crooks from stealing your home away from you. That may be the only hope you have in this battle. Certainly, the good lord will be on your side. Only the devil himself could possibly see anything of value with a company like citigroup.
